World Latency Issue (300-1500ms)

Hi everyone,

Ever since two weeks I’ve been experiencing a crazy amount of world latency. It starts off around 1500-2000ms and then slowly goes down. Although, it won’t go any lower than 300ms and sometimes it spikes back up to 700-1000ms. This really makes the game unplayable.

Wondering if more people are experiencing this and if there is perhaps a fix for it? Already tried the following:

  • Powercycled computer and router for 30 min
  • Removed all addons
  • DNS flush
  • Reinstalled WoW all together

Nothing seems to work. :frowning:

It’s Blizzards fault and there’s really nothing you can do to fix it.
Using a VPN made the game slightly more stable I think, but it’s not a fix.

Thanks mate. That’s annoying. Hope they’ll drop a hotfix for this.

Tried basically everything you also tried and no luck. Meanwhile the NA/OCE servers have a completely stable ping without issue.

Ended up installing ExitLag and that mostly made the problem go away. But there’s definitely an issue on the Blizzard end.

US servers aren’t actually much better, apparently.

I’ve been having latency issues all week aswell, router reset and dns flush didn’t help me either. It is so frustrating. Really hope next weeks maintenance fixes it, the game is unplayable atm.

yep me aswell tried all even called net company and they restarted on their end aswell which made no differense.

Yep, have the same issues. Usually in the evening it is worse. Now being in Dalaran just insta DC’s me. My glassfiber internet connection is top speed and really not the issue here.

Tried every suggestion but its just unplayable for most of the time.

FIX your servers please!!

Same problem for me. Normally i have a ping of 14ms with fiber. For the last 7 days the ping has been much higher than usual between 100ms or more unfortunately. I’ve tried everything to set up the router and it doesn’t help. The problems are only with WoW for me. Everything else is working fine. Other Games have all a normal MS. I dont no Hope thye fix it soon.
