World of Delves

So what’s the point of doing Raids when you are lucky to get a single loot clearing both Normal and Heroic, while Delves give you guaranteed four 506 ilvl loot a day and BETTER VAULT REWARDS THAN HEROIC RAID. Why waste hours wiping to a raid boss for the low chance you will get a tier set item?

It gives you the choice of content you want to do. If you aren’t interested in raiding then you don’t need to do it.

Although I do agree gearing in raids is appalling. I would prefer PL to return but I won’t hold my breath.

Loot is random

You are capped by the number of keys you can farm

Delve gear < heroic raid gear, ilevel can be bridged with crests.

For fun because you enjoy it.

Yet, there really isn’t a choice, is there? Delves are mandatory and a ridiculously better way than Raids to gear up right now. I don’t want Delves to be unrewarding. I want their rewards to be appropriate.

It is fun to gear up by getting appropriately rewarded from doing challenging content. If not, what’s the point of gear anyway? They can just remove all stats and make gear cosmetic only.

Once M plus starts Delves are pretty irrelevant for most raiders/m plus players.

“World of Delves”?
We have a choise. As a PvP player I did just 2-3 Delves total to get the Dirigable mount and I`ll never step in Delves again.
Player choises.

Perhaps limit how many normal level gear you can get a week, and after that you get lfr level gear? But still hc gear in vault prob, idk tho its not like i was gonna do normal raid more than once, i’m gonna jump to hc now that i completed it once anyway, now a lil bit more prepared for it compared to previous expansions

That’s an unfair comparison.
You need keys for that loot. You’re not going to earn 4 keys per day. Not even close.

Yeah you can, I’ve earned 4 keys on multiple characters in the same day. I got the achievement for opening 50 Bountiful chests on Sunday morning and I am a casual who doesn’t even play that much.

It’s capped at 4 per week from caches.

I meant consistently.
Yes, you CAN get 4 on ‘a day’. Once per week, mayyyyybe 2, but definitely not 4 keys per day, every day (which is what the OP seemed to be suggesting).

Because in raids if you sim your character you know there is this specific item that will make you stronger
so it doesn’t matter that delves are giving your a 616 when delve vault can’t give you that one good trinket from raid

For fun?..

I dunno… I am LFR noob scrup lord and I am already on track on getting heroic level gear thanks to doing few delves and even able to make 2 tier pieces next week if I dont get any loot this week

This weeks I’ve missed only 2 bountiful keys (it’s 26 keys and 5 treasure maps in total) and if I tried harder with memories, I would be able to do all 28. It’s not sustainable, and i think that further weeks will give us about half as much (we were able to pile up the keys for an additional week before T8 opened), but it’s still ridiculous. Moreover, it would not matter how much keys will I get next week as I would not need more 603 champion-track gear anymore.

Even if somebody cares less and got half of the rewards I got, it is ridiculous.

Delves do not give you the best gear but the gear curve does not feel right.

For other content it looks like this:

                            .
            . . . . .
          .
       .
    .
.

For delves it looks like this:

        .........
.......
.
.
.
.
.
.

It is unhealthy and it breaks both delving experience (you get a lot of gear, than you get close to nothing for most of the season) and for other mods, because people are tunneled to delves for a jump-start.

From delving alone I got higher ilvl than it is possible to get for a player, who ignored delves, but farmed m0s every day and closed full normal and heroic raid (unless we assume that the full heroic raid was gearing only him).

By that definition, everyone who isn’t in the forefront of the RTWF is a casual.

If you spend more than 10 hours per week playing WoW, you are not casual.

I think the difficulty is the issue.

People should not realistically have been able to do tier 8 in the first week.
Imo that’s just bad balancing for a progression system.

Would be totally ok with it. Or any other solution to make progression slower and more on par with other mods (I’m delve enjoyer and I’m dissapointed that I’m running out of content so fast).

I’m still not sold on delves in the long run. But… They are proving to be the most lucrative gearing method I, as a predominantly solo/world content player have ever had.

Case in point: Check my gear.
That’s INSANE for week 1 of a season for a player like myself.
