Every time there is hard solo content (or small group content) it can be exploited with tank specs. If you look at the M+ group finder you will notice that all the high key groups only invite tanks. Or if you go to one of the few remaining IP farm spots with elite mobs… guess what, it’s all tanks there!
If heroic world tier is a preview for what’s to come for WoW retail (pray nightmare mode?)… are tank specs now a requirement for solo players that don’t want to fall behind? Rogue for example seems completely hopeless for solo players. Why can’t you make solo content that scales properly for each spec?

Tank: Fun allowed.
Healer: Fun not allowed.
DPS: Fast questing and fun needs gear but might get nerfed.
Calling it cheat code and exploit is some heavy exaggeration there, it’s what the spec was meant for… tanking, aka being able to take on harder foes, it’s why the tank holds the boss no?
You can’t blame the spec for the fact that Blizz can’t properly make hard solo content that would be scaled to all specs, which I agree they should do. Blame the design of the event properly on who designed it, not players finding the best way to tackle said content.
We can also argue that the rewards from mobs in normal are a joke compared to heroic tier, I did some tests and it’s like 10x difference on bronze and IP gotten, you are basically forced into playing heroic, and likely many people rolled tank just to be able to play heroic world.
I think people wouldn’t be this desperate if the difference in drops from mobs was around half, which was what I expected when I did the tests, but was stunned to see such a stark contrast, I think 10x difference between the 2 modes is insane.
As for m+, I haven’t gotten there yet but I can tell you that 5 tank is nothing new really, you see it pop up from time to time in regular m+ too, you’re just seeing it more now, again, probably because of the bad scaling of the event, which again would be the fault of the people that made the event, aka Blizzard, and not the fault of the players themselves.
If you can’t beat em, join em.
Remix isn’t Retail
Name is the same, but they are 2 different games
Just go through your artifact weapon up, in no time you’ll be able to solo any content, easy. You won’t even need a whole group or raid to go through it. As it was in MoP Remix
Blizzard makes tanks extremely overpowered to make them fully independent of any external factors. They did this as an incentive for people to play the role. That’s why the worst players in the game are often tanks, they’re so overpowered that they become oblivious to their own mistakes. It’s basically an artificial god complex. They can survive on their own and deal damage without any restrictions, things other roles simply cannot do.
Im so sorry for you stumbled upon such bad Tanks all along
Hope one day you will find a relevant one doing a real job, plus, you won’t mix Retail and Remix anymore
Hang in there mate. You got this
Thank you for giving us a perfect example of what a god complex looks like.
Try forming a coherent sentence next time.

I wasn’t sarcastic, not all the tanks have a - what you called - “god complex” (seems you’re very attached to this concept, for whatever reason)
I’m not a tank myself, just a stupid DPS, but rest assured I really don’t care what the tanks are doing, not my problem
Especially in Remix where nothing has to be taken seriously.
As said, name is the same, but the 2 games iterations are very different
Wish you the best and at least, some fun, maybe?
