World of Warcraft 15-Year Anniversary Collector’s Edition Giveaway

Best of Luck everyone :four_leaf_clover:

Thats the spirit! You can never be too paranoid. I mean if I told people I live in England they just have to work through 55 million people and they’ve got me. Why make it easy right?

Also, lol at the greed comment. Sometimes you aren’t the sharpest pencil.

Well rip, then you seem to be out of luck. :frowning:

That does not proves anything, maybe those companies did not check the law of every European country and thus gives you the prize without realized is forbidden in your country and thus it means Blizzard is the only one who did proper legal research.

And the only reason you cant enter is that is illegal in your country. They don’t gain anything by excluding you. At least this proves at least the legal department of Blizzard describes with every other company that has to give you giveaways.

Are you a legal expert in those topics to make so such claim? Is very brave to do that. In other cases where countries were excluded in promotions, the legal answer was never so trivial. Spain was excluded from fan art contest because under our law those contest has more requirements than other European countries. In other European countries, like Denmark, RAF is not allowed because is considered a pyramid scheme. So, no, you can have the opinion that there is no such law, but that just means that probably means your opinion is false.

The answer is no so easy, there are not many laws specifily made for online service like this, most the times those things are illegal or forbidden for an unfortunate implication in other unrelated laws, like RAF falling in Demark definition of a pyramid scheme.

Tbf thats some olympic level of mental gymnastics from the bois up there

Believe it or not is just for the free month included in RAF. WOW requires a monthly fee, and with RAF the new user pays 2 monthly fees and for that Blizzard gives to the old player one month free, so the old player recovers one of the already payed monthly fees, in the strict anti-fraud denmaker laws that is a pyramid scheme., because theorically a player could play WOW with just RAF free months.

So, we have not search for laws directly made to forbid those services, is more likely an unfortunate consequence of some unrelated law.

Despite what you’ve said, there will be a law in your country meaning you cannot enter a sweepstake/game of chance. As Jadzía said, it may be part of some completely unrelated law.
It’s also not greed - how can it be when they’re giving something away?
Finally, I very much doubt you’ll get a helpful answer from a ticket as CS has absolutely nothing to do with the legal department or competition eligibility.
I’m pretty sure my own country (England) wouldn’t be eligible but for the fact that there’s a question you have to get right so it’s not purely chance.
I’m really sorry you can’t enter it as it does seem unfair that some can and some can’t, but I don’t think Blizzard would alienate a lot of their players without a good reason.

What law? If i can get order from Amazon or Ebay i should get from Blizzard.
Every one who pay sub and buy game r legitimate to enter in this kind contest.

It isn’t an order though is it, its a promotion which involves answering a question, it is nothing like an order from Amazon or Ebay, its a competition!

Why are we even discussing this, it is common knowledge that certain countries have different views on promotions, it just seems like it’s just another ‘Gawddamnyoublizzard’ bandwagon.

Dont make me now to ask in mine country how things work here about promotions :joy: Why we discussing this? Because it is not nice to see something glittering and you CANT HAVE IT! :joy: Maybe they need to filter news so next time I turn app and dont see nice stuff that I cant have it xD Is there option to turn off news on app?

Don’t have to, as it is quite obvious that your region/country don’t support these promotions, unless of course you think Blizzard are just spiting you??

Well… that is your own words pal not mine

I just have to ask though. People are so frustrated that they cant enter due to country restrictions but…who said they would have won? Are there really people who think : I am sure that I would have WON IT if I could have been eligible to enter!
I entered the giveaway but…chances of me winning something is. Well I have bigger chance of winning the grand lottery, getting hit by lighting on my way to get the prize and finding some gold bars under my bed when I get back.
