You will be able to continue with your current level 60. We are just asking for some new servers to be made in addition, for the people who want to start again or for people who didn’t play Classic Era and want to try out TBC
thats good and don’t play. if you want fresh tbc servers you probably will have to wait until all tbc content will be finished and when those tbc -wotlk progression servers goes live then they probably make tbc era servers with few fresh tbc servers so you can play on those but until then keep dreaming.
To add my 2p…
I like the limitations of classic, getting 40 people adequately geared and organised to do a 40 man raid is wonderful to participate in, and look forward to being able to continue doing those - though I worry about adequate population on the permanent classic servers to maintain sufficient adequately motivated players to make such things viable.
I also like TBC, its an excellent expansion and I enjoyed it first time around, though I’m a bit irritated by players of new races having to do a lot of levelling to participate in the content that the majority of characters will have immediately available so I’ll miss out on doing things with my friends.
I’m happy about the lvl58 boost. it means I can retain one character in classic that I bring to TBC with a 2 level (and gear) debuff for free. If I do clone a character I must remember to pool my gold there before picking that option.
I know some people like new servers. I see it in Diablo with the seasons… but I don’t have the time or interest to redo stale content. if I want to start again I can roll another character. Bots and boosts will not be halted by fresh servers.
I just need to confirm something as I am having a wee bit of a dillema. I have 3 60s for ALiance on GOlemagg server, but I want to play Horde in tbc.
-
So all of this means that when the prepatch hits, I will be able to transfer all my aliance toons to classic and create horde on Golemagg?
-
Second question, if I start leveling my horde now on a different pvp server, will I be able to transfer it to Golemagg later in the pre-patch (considering I will transfer all my ali characters to that forever classic realm?)
-
If I change my mind later on and I will want to play aliance again, will I be able to transfer that horde character to another server and use the ‘copy’ option later on to revive my ali characters into the tbc version of the game?
Which economy will be the same after short time in few months I think the continuity is good, as it was when was released. We did not started from 0 at that time…
but they did start from 0 on some servers at that time. When they launched TBC originally they created some new servers. That’s all we are asking for! not every server being fresh, but just add a few more!
They created new servers out of necessity, because of a VERY large influx of players… Not to combat bots or economy overflow…
Fresh servers ARE NOT happening on launch unless its mechanically needed for the servers to be stable.
They do have servers ready for quickfire launches on release in case of too many players joining… But unless its needed it wont happen.
why cant play TBC now im wait the 4day blizzar ask wait missag ^^
Need to be streaming cringey content to get access, my dude.
Why can’t we have just one fresh server, my dudes?
I’m secretly hoping it’s even more popular than the Classic launch and Classic launch was CRAZY BUSY!
I also wanted fresh TBC servers. Hoping for the best.
The in-game elite who were boosting 24/7 while I was living my life will annihilate the economy in TBC in the first months at least. Bots are everywhere, as well.
I’m one of those people who’s going to be leveling a “new” race to play the “new” class, and it’s gonna be filled with shamans and pallies being boosted all day long during pre-patch.
“Clones are created from a snapshot just prior to the Burning Crusade Classic pre-expansion patch and will not include any additional progress from that point on. This means that if you continue to play your WoW Classic character for some months after and unlock the clone at a later date, it will not include any additional progress past the point of the original capture of your character.”
I would’ve prefered to be able to grab some more things from classic, before I move to tbc.
Would apreciate a paid transfer option with additional progress at a later date.
The problem with that option is that is not compatible with having the option to clone characters. It would be possible for someone to have all their gold and items in one character, clone that character so both gold are items are cloned in TBC and Classic and then have a second character moved only to Classic and days later transfer that character to TBC with the gold and items from the cloned character, both copies of the gold and items will end on the same TBC realm.
I see where you’re coming from and a simple gold cap limit fixes this.
There is one already for normal paid transfers.
Not sure if any classic items are worth cloning by paid transfers.
@Simko: Actually, Jadzía is correct and unfortunately, the gold and the items are NOT the only problematic issues. The mere existence of duplicated characters themselves transferring (from permanent Classic era to TBCC) would alter things as would the existence of their skills. Even if they were stripped of ALL of their possessions (including the soulbound gear they wear) and had all of their skills (and associated recipes, if any) deleted, they would still alter the status quo, so to speak. The permanent Classic era and TBCC should and shall (as far as we have been given to understand) remain entirely separate timelines once they both exist, upon the execution of the pre-patch.
You may have not intended it so, but especially the anti-boost crowd will see your idea as just another attempt to break the one boost / account restriction, especially since it would give some players access (through paying) to multiple (well-)equipped and (highly) skilled 60s as opposed to what the limited boost provides.
the email you sent us is wrong , does the expansion come out at the end of the year? WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
No I won’t… not everyone is a mindless blizzard zombie.
I missed classic due to time constraints and lack of mates to play with. I don’t have similar issues right now but if the don’t host extra fresh server, NoIdontThinkIWill.gif.
And the weirdest part is that there are a bunch of butthurt people on the forums defending blizzard when in reality it doesnt affect em in the slightest if they create 2 new fresh realms per region.
Doesn’t say any dates in the mail I got. What does it say in yours?
Unless you mean ‘later this year’ which means earliest 1 day after the post, or latest the last day of the year.
Aka no new information.
actually later this year could even be now, seeing as they sent it a few hours ago xD
It’s all about the money! I mean we pay already subscription money to play with our characters, and now we need to pay for our clone as well… Aren’t you guys already well fed by keeping up the BOT economy facilitating 100.000s accounts of bots. Which bring millions every month. All about the “classic” feeling. And another game being destroyed by corporate greed instead of being developed by idealists and creative people… well done!
