World of Warcraft in 2024 —The Road Ahead

Your paying for the base expac. The patches are covered by sub

Cataclysm seems extremely rushed - originally the prepatch alone spanned across 2 months, and now we’ll already have Firelands in autumn.

Also, worgens and goblins show up at the same milestone as prepatch event? Originally worgens and goblins came only after the prepatch event was over, about 1.5 months into the prepatch, because the prepatch event resulted in the transformation of the world and worgens and goblins starting zones existed only in the new world.

So, how is it going to be done? Will goblins and worgen get unlocked only after the event concludes? Or will they start in the old world in existing zones such as Teldrassil or Durotan? OR will they somehow start in an instanced-off part of the new world and then go to the old world upon completing the starting zone?

Will there be BFA TW in any patch?
Shadowlands TW should be coming soon

Hey, with the link, you have to click on two things, scroll down a lot, and then view it for information which can be hard to read for some people. I just organised it into a precise list as my good deed for the day :stuck_out_tongue:

And I appreciate it, the seeming contradiction just struck me as funny. And hey, I’m a gnome, so my arm isn’t that long.

Yeah, that’s true. October-November is best.

So at least 1 more month on this lvl 25 atrocity, so all casuals worldwide can safely ding lvl 25 on their 5th character, with 100 g for each and all reps farmed. Fabulous…

Majority of casuals just barely started hitting lvl 25 on their first character rofl.

This can be literaly said about any time of the year.

If the expansion comes out August-September then that’s a wee bit earlier than I expected, which is good.

The updates…The Fated Season is what it is. Open World Rewards will be interesting to see, because I see how Blizzard makes Fated Raids more difficult, but how do they intend to make the open world more difficult?

The rest seems to be one-off experiences. You blast through it once and you’re done. Short but hopefully satisfying. The Gilneas stuff remains to be seen, hopefully there’ll be a little longevity to that.

Timerunning is not timewalking, but it’s MoP so maybe the Challenge Mode in Timewalking format?

The skull is what, pirates?

It seems okay-ish. A bit more than I expected, and a bit faster as well.

I think my strategy is to just check in once or twice before the expansion release, but for the people who just want to play more WoW I think this will sustain them from now and until The War Within.

Self-found mode for Classic Hardcore is interesting. Kind of wish that was how WoW was in general. And Diablo as well, come to think of it. God I hate trading in Blizzard games these days.

Either way, looks fine. Nothing crazy (housing?!..no), but also not disappointing. It’s just…fine.

please blizzard do it

This all feels like and end to wow ngl

Some feedback around patch/tier cadence…

The first season of m+ in an expansion should include all the new dungeons. Players may do the new dungeons in the first couple of weeks of the expansion to gear for the first raid tier, but then have no reason to visit half the dungeons again until season 2. Seems like a waste of content to me.

Season 4 should include older raids rather than fated Dragonflight raids. We’ve just spent the last 1.5 years playing these raids and all of the people I’ve spoken are not looking forward to it. While it was a good solution at the end of Shadowlands, it feels lazy and stale to keep doing this at the end of each expansion. Just like the older dungeons gave m+ a new lease of life, older raids could keep the raiding community interested. You’ve proven you can do it with timewalking, so why not?

Because they already have a boatload of sets with their theme and aesthetic. Unlike some of the other races.

That’s not happening.

On that picture the release is hitting the autumn column. So it could very well be a september release or very late august.

Anyway, I’m fine with a summer release. The sooner the better imo. Because season 4 is most likely not going to hold me over for long - unless the world content rewards are amazing, but I’m not going to be holding my breath.

Overal I’m interested in some things, but I’m not overly excited.
Shadowlands’ season 4 has left such a bad taste in my mouth, that its hard for me to get psyched.

Also… Sneaky Mike Ybarra… “no pirates”.
Yeahhh no pirates in TWW! But are we getting a Nightsquall centered patch in DF?!

Love the roadmap

This. GJ blizz. I like whatever your doing. So please keep doing that. Awesome job.

It is funny to call it Classic if it’s just Retail but lagging behind a decade-ish. Guess WoW Delayed Retail isn’t as catchy though. Also just odd attaching classic to Cata when it was like the start of a new chapter where they overhauled so much of the core design.

my eyes must be deceiving, because I still don’t see any confirmation on WOTLK ERA realms

When are we getting Paladins for all races?

So… 10.2.5 on january 10th? Couldn’t help but notice outland cup starts on thursday the 11th, or so it says in the calendar currently, and it’s included as a patch feature.
