Well, at least the DX11 works.
Hopefully a TEMPORARY fix. I know that in majority of scenarios DX11 vs DX12 is not a world shattering improvement but still feels like I am using “old tech” with DX11.

DX12 is way superior. Especially for threaded games. Which WoW finally is.
So i did go back to DX12 and waited 4-5 mins, game started… did try it few times, it works that way… and everything fine in-game
6700XT here , waiting 5-7 mins seam to resolve the issue , so my first guess would be that this is one of those times again the AMD-shader cache might be the issue , rebuilding/clearing it. You can can clear those manually in the AMD-drivers , not sure if this would solve any issue since it was fixed for me by just waiting.
Since i only have to wait the first time 5-7 mins when i launched the game, after that the game launches instant.
rx 6750 xt wow is not responding :(((
I have the same problem and I am not happy at all. I just bought a year subscription and this happens. I have done all the security checks on my computer , cleared all unwanted data and defraged it too. Still not working, GRRRRR
Same issue here. I also have a AMD GPU
Kazaak is not loading characters as well. Blizzard should reply and let us know at some point. I have an AMD GPU RX 6900XT , i tried executing the game w/ DX11 but nothing
Same here. Got stuck in game…restarted
now i cant se my characters can`t create new one!
have Nvidia 3080ti i7
i hope you gonna recompensate us cuz you allways give us lag and stucks for what we pay!
Edited:
MINE SOLVED BY TURNING DOWN nVidia shared chache and restarted!
- Open the NVIDIA control panel.
- Go to Manage 3D Settings.
- Turn off Shader Cache.
- Save and apply changes.
- Reboot your PC.
I got the same problems. chars are mixed on reams or not on screen. black screen.
Go to your wow in battlenet and click on the gear knob and click game settings and put -d3d11 in cmd line worked for me
Just thought I’d post quickly, I was able to get it to work without changing any launch options by just starting the game and leaving it for 2-3 mins. The game loaded eventually and now it starts instantly every time.
The game starts now with d12 but I get frequent crashes in some caves
Did on new SSD windows reinstall, new GPU drivers and fresh wow… still same thing… something with DX12 and AMD GPU vs wow
Still experiencing the same problem, how can it take so long for Blizzard to acknowledge this and fix it?
omg works like a charm, thank you for reposting this info to EU forums!
AMD 6750XT graphics.
Just posting here to confirm that clicking ‘Play’ and leaving the game alone for about 5 mins worked a treat!
As a fall back you can configure -d3d11 as mentioned above.
Any chance of getting this problem resolved ?
6950xt and exact same issue after updating to latest drivers.
d11 it is.
The problem went away and now is back. I did not update drivers. The cache should be intact.
