If i press play on the battle.net app it shows up instandly on the task manager but takes ages to load.
Blizzard please fix this, or atleast admit there is a problem with an announcement

Yes, i came home and clicked play. It takes forever!
Yesterday I fixed that by updating GPU drivers. Today it happened again and I fixed that by opening game directly from Program Files folder. I didn’t do any scan & repair. Maybe that help you.
Expect new Shop items soon !

Same issue here, scan and repair did nothing.
Reinstalling Battle.net launcher did nothing.
Disabling addons did nothing. Etc etc.
Even pressing reply to answer to this post took more than 5 minutes to load a edit field
The solution is spreading on Discord, it worked for me.

Here’s the solution! Please spread the word: Click on your options in B-net (next to the play button) and do a Scan and Repair. WoW done an oopsie and you’re probably missing a file, which this option patches. Read on if you cannot click Scan and Repair. If you can, though, this should have fixed your problem by now.
If you can’t click Scan and Repair it means you have WoW opened. You need to close al World of Warcrafts you can find in your Task manager. You should find them in a little arrow drop-down menu of battle.net that’s in that list somewhere. I found it in the top bit. Once all World of Warcrafts are closed (right click 'em and close them) your Scan and Repair button will become click-able again.
So far it worked after pressing “Request for updates” and let it run out.
