World of warcraft stay open in background

Hello
thank you for the time your giving me.
can someone help me with this
when i close the game or exit , my game still is working on the background but it only take small % of cpu and memory and i have to close it in the task manager.
sometimes this happens , can someone tell me whats the problem?

WoW.exe remains active in task manager

Not under the active apps but as a background process and it is unlikely to get noticed near the bottom of the list because the CPU consumption stays low at first. Eventually it will start draining resources and spike up as if the game is up and running, when it is not. Sometimes the game will launch without an icon on the taskbar and the whole badge will be just blank space.
