World of Wintraders

So if u have r1 you are free to wintrade?

Man if this was just the case in OW. There you get banned instantly and permanently if you are in any touch to boosting or wintrading. Tourney Players are getting disbanded and won’t ever be able to play professionally again.

All under the same circumstances of Blizzards rules. But because it’s WoW it’s of course allowed if you are good at the game.

You do realize there are a limited number of r1 spots, right? This means if someone pays money to get wintraded into r1, someone else isn’t getting r1.

U probably one of them defending.

They dont ban at all for boosting/wintrading in overwatch infact the boosting community is even worse than wow.

Atleast wow DQ players on the ladder when they see a new account log in and get rating fast on overwatch they dont even DQ and let them keep w/e they get no hwid spoofer needed.

They have even been letting aimbotters boost in overwatch for the past 1.5 years so in that game its not even the top players its anyone who wants to boost can boost.

I didnt play this game in almost 3-4 years on and off sometimes i come back for 1 month im defending no1 its just how competitive games are these people invest their life into the game they are going to try to make money its in every single game not just wow.

If this was not part of the game there would be no competitive scene in overwatch/csgo/valorant they have to boost just to make a living as the pro scene legit makes 0 money for them.

It damages the top end of the ladder, these people aren’t just win trading to get themselves a higher rating… they are win trading to boost paying clients to R1. Say they do this for just 10 people, that’s 10 legit players that don’t get it now because the win traders have pushed them out to get the paying people in. There are so ways to track if people are doing it and also the evidence in that video is enough to easily warrant bans to the players talking in it.

If that is the case they probably should get a job that can provide a income instead.

If my job did not pay me enough my reaction is not “Guess I’ll rob the place.”.

Believe it or not, I don’t actually mind coaching… it’s a pain sometimes yeah but you can actually win while they are coaching if you can exploit the person being coached and you can also learn from the encounters on the ladder, but account boosting and wintrading is a different story. More often or not you’re against x3 tournament or R1 players at 2400 - 2500 and its very hard to learn from something when you get punished insanely hard for every little mistake… then wintrading is another step up to the point you don’t even play them, they just push people out of spots for money or their own inflated rating gains.

i know what the problem is with it man what im saying is you cant stop it you can ban all the current r1 players it wont matter the next grp of r1 players will do the exact same because its free money and its faster to finish the boost while wintrading you cant stop it all together.

Im sure if you was in their position and someone was going to pay you around £1000 for a r1 spot you would do the same as they do and if you wouldnt well someone else would do it.

They cant they need to play hours every day to stay the best its like that in every esports game only way they can really make an income is if someone else funds it by doing something like streaming or boosting.

If Blizzard is consistent and bans these players each time they do it then people will start to think twice about doing it as they will most likely be ban. The problem now is nothings being done so its a free market that people aren’t afraid or worried about entering… there’s no consequence for it. If Blizzard bans every R1 that did it, then as you said the next lot that take their place will do it, if Blizzard goes in and bans them too people will realise the bans aren’t a one time thing and Blizzard are actively monitoring it, imo this will discourage alot of people from doing it as they will expect a ban.

How will they know when its done the wintrading is not the problem if blizzard ban them for wintrading then they will just start doing it legit and still get the r1 spots they wintrade because it takes less time thats all

I think you missunderstand, meant if the wow esport is not earning them enough to stay afloat its time to a drop out of the esport market and go job hunting or b, find a more lucrative game.

But you dont understand they are making a lot of money from boosting and if they was to quit and go job hunting anyway why would they not take the risk of boosting if they make more boosting than they would from working?

At least its harder for them to do it legit, but can also get them for account sharing them too or real world trading, there’s a website that you can use to trade wins and losses, people have used it to show pro players win trading, I can’t remember the name of it though. Its definitely possible to track, Blizzard just has to allocate some recourses to tracking it… or take the reports off players with proof seriously and actively investigate the players in question.

But that is just witchhunting how can you prove that they didnt just go 1-1-1-1-1 50% winrate all day with the other team?

No I do understand that, but that is not something that is allowed, real money transaction in wow and many other games are frowned on.

Its not if the reports are backed up by screen shots or videos, Then its a legit report.

so it would be ok if it was for gold?

Legally? Yes.
