So there was a Horderaid that raided Boralus… as soon as they started losing they phased out. I thought they changed it so that you cant phase in Combat? that was one of the most frustrating experiences to date you finally start to overpower them and they just phase out… actually you can still hit them for 30 sec they are just immune to dmg and then wink out of existance.
I have to say that really killed all the joy i felt when fighting the horde before that point.

That was one of the ideas on forums, to counter/block those who abuse sharding/queue to run. Sadly, nothing was ever done about it from Blizzard side, so no, you still can just as before.
One thing looks like changed - previously, if someone Alt+F4’ed their nameplate became gray and you couldn’t damage them, and only if you stayed near for some time, until character vanished, you got some honor points - well now you can damage gray nameplates, and kill them.
Yeah, phasing/sharding abuse to run away always sucks - but it also means that you won, and if they made it by choice - they are the ones miserable, if that’s any consolation.
