There are several world quests that require killing mobs that have the old spawn timer and when there are several people trying to do them at the same time, it becomes a slog and takes like 20 minutes for a single world quest.
Missions like the one killing worms near Gundagaz and the one about cleaning after the seagulls in the Isle of Dorn are the ones I can think of now, and there are more. But probably the worst offender is the quest Recovery Job in Hallowfall because it’s not like the quest item is there for everyone to pick: it spawns, only one person can pick it and it takes up minutes for it to spawn again. Good luck trying to do it in less than half an hour if there is enough people around.
I just cannot understand how devs still let it happen, this has been a problem for some quests here and there before, but this expansion sometimes feels like we are back to vanilla trying to kill the stupid scorpion in the valley of trials.
100% agree. These world quests are so poorly designed, that they’re actually enraging.
It took me way too long to complete the worm one, because it was so frustrating, that I needed to spread it out between other things. The seagull one I just left after 10 mins and don’t even think I’ll bother with until it’s fixed.
The bread should be clickable by everyone and not limited to one person and the mobs should be more frequent spawns or at least harder to kill.
Most of the time you glimpse something briefly, just before it’s swarmed upon by players then its dead within a second and then theyre all gone. It reminds me of cartoon skits when you see pirahnas attacking something.
Couple of things are awful when it comes with there being more players… such as Elite Rares, who’s healthpool drastically increases with each person tagging it [it’s like how them Remembrance Bosses in the prepatch event was before they got nerfed].
They take freaking forever to kill [specifically those 3 Rare Elites beside each other in Ringing Deeps (Hunger/Spore/Earthgorger)].
I also dont understand why this expansions seems so party unfriendly ?
Tons of quests, not only WQs doesnt count towards other party member, u play with friends but in reality u are just walking around each other as everyone is doing their own thing.
Also those picking up quests where it disapears for others and also your party members , those are probably worst.
Then u finaly come acros a killing quest and it requires you to kill 20 mobs on area as big as half of europe where there is 6 of those mobs , each at difderent corner … love that
