seems to be more of a travel from zone to zone problem

Is this problem still occurring for you and others? Normally there’d be a few more reports than just your own, especially at the time you initially reported it.

I have several problems, quite possibly stemming from the same issue.

I am trying to log in with my demon hunter character, on the EU server Boulderfist, and the loading screen freezes when the loading bar is around 60-70% full. If I wait for a very long time, I can sometimes get a message that says the world server is down, but most of the time, not even that happens, and the game is then functionally frozen.

If I close the game and log in again, I can occasionally log in with other characters, but with limited playability. One character is located in Elwyn Forest, which seems to be functioning at first, but if I try and move into Stormwind City, only the navigable world is present, and is not populated by NPCs or players, and I am frequently booted back to The Valley of Heroes, and receive the message ā€œTransfer Aborted: instance not foundā€.

I have used Google to search for answers, and there are claims that the issue can be on my end. I can dismiss that notion right now, as this is the first time this has happened, and I have made no changes to either software, hardware, or internet security, and my internet connection is functional. There was also suggestions to check the server status on Blizzard’s website, and when I do, it says that Boulderfist is online, though this whole issue makes me want to dispute that.

Have you tried disabling all addons?

I don’t have any addons.

For your issue, it would be best to reach out to Customer Support through a ticket, as this will need further investigation in the game, on our side.

I was going to do so, but the technical requirements put me off at the time. It appears as though the issue has been solved. It appeared as though only the servers to most zones were offline and I either could not log with characters in zones that were disabled, or if I tried to move to a disabled zone, either by using portals with mages or just walking there, after I would be reverted back with the aforementioned error message. I don’t know how server compartmentalizing works in WoW, if that’s even an accurate turn, but the strange part was that this only seemed to affect myself- other players could move freely in and out of Stormwind through the Valley of Heroes, for example, and when I asked in the Elwynn general chat if anyone else had this issue, no one said they did. And it wasn’t just Stormwind, I tried moving into Duskwood, Redridge Mountains, and Westfall, and the same thing happened. Only some NPCs and objects that one could see from within Elrynn Forest loaded, but nothing beyond that.

Like I said, it appears that the issue has been solved. I logged in with a character in Bastion, and one in Stormwind, which seems to functional, and I did a few hours of questing in several zones in Broken Isles without issue. I’d like to emphasize that I have no addons, and I have not modified the game in way. This is very close to a fresh install, I’ve just turned down the master volume and turned up some graphics settings.

As a fan of Silent Hill I guess it was an interesting experience to be stuck in Elwynn Forest, surrounded by an impenetrable barrier beyond my ability to influence or even comprehend, but I’d still recommend the technical team make a note of this issue if they haven’t already.
