“World server down” is as far as I get this morning trying to log on my Silvermooon characers.

EU-last logged into argent dawn was getting crazy lag then after logging out now stuck on retrieving character list left it for 20mins was still on it. I guess its a server side issue because it was straight after a patch
The craziest thing in my opinion is not that EU servers have not been working: it’s the fact that Blizzard hasn’t posted anything about it.
Okay it’s night, okay people in EU are sleeping, but 1) i hope there is always someone working in Blizzard’s offices; it would be absurd that during night EU offices are empty; 2) okay let’s say during night people are not working properly, but at least they can post ONE message that informs the entire community about the problem.
I really hope that now that the day is starting, they are going to fix it soon. It’s just embarassing.

Did the small update to game tonight break the game? Logged in about an hour ago, went to Spiral Weave… I couldn’t enter “Instance not found” message, it was very laggy… figured I would relog and maybe that would fix it. Now I can’t log in on any characters, getting the “World server is down” message.
This 11.2 patch and the updates after must have been the worst I’ve seen in WoW history, so much bugs, performance issues. Did you fire your QA people?

Submitted the ticket! There was no warning, no blue post, no maintenance, no nothing. This is beyond irresponsible.

Another user found a workaround (I found on reddit)
you can place SET disableAutoRealmSelect “1” in your (World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF) config.wtf, then you can at least access the list, and play the other servers you have characters on. I was also stuck on Argent Dawn.

Oh yes. I got free friday to grind my rank 14 on anniversaty servers. They messing my progress now. What ppl do when there is no game

It’s a good job Blizz has no way of mass communicating with their player base to let everyone know that they’re aware there’s issues and they’re going to investigate it ASAP. Like, in a forum. Or, some social media account. Or, you know, a little message on the header of their own gaming client. Cause that would be crazy if they could.

Im having the same issue… used a portal from K’aresh to a delve…
Clicked to enter the delve but seemed to be stuck at the start of the delve… couldnt progress or leave.
I figured I had disconnected so I restarted wow… Im now getting ‘world server is down’ when I attempt to log in with this character…
All other characters are fine.
Weirdness - can login with my pally on Pyrewood EU classic. But not any other chars. They get stuck on loading & disconnect.
These were also the last hours when Lucy farm was available.
Imagine asking for money for this horrible experience.

They used to do this. Many many many moons ago. (before the game turned into a shop.)

TWW reminds me a lot of the olden days of WoW when the servers would just randomly be down for 6+ hours.
Difference is we actually had some sort of communication with devs back then, and occasionally got free game time.

Mind you this isn’t bound to a one wow client. Most if not all versions of wow is affected.

I get disconnect when I try to log Era. in anniversaty says character not found but no disconnet.
