Hmm i havent had that experience since classic really, but if you arent doing 1.2-1.5k dps on class without having to sit down and drink or recoup then i consider it slower, compared to a lot of the alternatives. I mean BM has to either be a bit slower and jank or use their full utility to get 2k dps and go oom and have to sit and drink, compared to enhance that can do that and just wipe everything with infinite healing potential, infinite mana sustain etc, it is quite insane how different the reworked WOTLK specs are.
lust, wolves, elemental is mega busted for soloing. Only ever beaten by tanks really, but its damage is still usually far superior.
You have single buttons to lay all 4 and recover them too. So once you set it up it’s easy.
You forgot to add, that you dont even need to use totems at all, you can litterally trash all content in the game including elites without ever using a totem.
It has to be rogue. Even with full heirlooms + mob tagging (getting the mob to 60% hp and then killing it with a high lvl char) it still somehow felt worse than regularly leveling a warlock in classic.
Yeah, I forgot that but the poster I replied too specifically mentioned totems.
s - paladin, warlock, mage
a - priest, shaman
b - warrior, druid
c - rogue, hunter
I have leveled every class to 80 (I skipped some levels on some characters at HoS boosts), so from my experience it is like this. So, rogue and hunter are the worst. Rogue worst at everything (dungeons, questing, soloing group quests, booooring in general) Hunter is quite ok at aoe dungeon farming and soloing elites, but is SO UNFUN at general questing because of constant mana problems + your pet (I was using boar) can’t keep aggro (even if you playing BM) and you have to kite every mob.
Rogue is definitely the worst. Even before, WotLK not existing, it was so that you were best of grinding green mobs and green quests because the downtime due to the sheer amount of dmg you take was just too much.
I am not saying its HARD. It’s just prone to be damn inefficient. I levelled a warior too, back in the original WotLK and now again. It’s not even close.
I am not saying that rogue is SLOWER perse. You gotta have an entirely different approach than you had with every other class and focus on green quests. THEN you 1) crit the whole time 2) take very little dmg and grind like a mofo with your endless supply of resources.
I never have to, I can go 100% from the start, are you training your pet?
You’re just so damn helpful right.
The sheer fact that -the now foregone- blizzard levelling challenge winner has always been a hunter winner thus far, as you without any single doubt know, is quite a giveaway.
Wasn’t it a mage in Classic? Or was the world first 60 guy not part of the competition?
In Classic? Maybe.
I am talking about the original Wow. I think Blizzard stopped doing those kinda things that rewarded not leaving your computer for 4 days straight as they didn’t want people to die or at least get sued for that.
Jokerd (a real jerk btw) was Classic first lvl 60 and first mage to do it thanks to layers hopping and AoE grind. without those any hunter would out race him.
Warrior without gold and gear. When you have access to better gear it becomes better.
If you have main that can support your leveling, it could be the most easiest class to level.
Your strugling with hunter sounds more like a “player” problem than class, since even blizzard guides tell that hunter is the easiest one to level.
But also from my and many others experience, hunter is easiest to level (mage might be fastest, but not easiest).
