Worst class to level?

Just out of curiousity, what do you think is the worst/hardest class to level? Currently leveling up a rogue, full heirlooms and I need to bandage/eat after every 2nd mob… 2min for a tiny bit of aoe damage… feels kinda bad

Very gear dependant, i noticed a massive improvement once i got full brutal gear on mine. But no idea how far in you are. The beauty of rogues is that you can sneak in and out certain places, without having to worry about clearing everything.

Definitely rogue - gear dependant, leather armor doesn’t offer much protection, no self heals, not very desirable in dungeons

I feel like the differences in leveling difficulty between classes are marginal at best in Wrath.

I leveled all of them to 80, rogue would be my pick. Probably the only class that can’t aoe farm 8 mobs at a time. And you’re terrible in dungeons pre 80 due to basically no aoe.

Edit: Very rewarding being a rogue at 80 though. You have atleast one top tier PvE spec and one broken god mode PvP spec.

If you compare a rogue to for example any tank (who can aoe pull consistantly).
Or bm hunters, demo locks, maybe even enhance shamans, who can do decent sized pulls without suffering for it.

In terms of leveling difficulty, depends how you do it, but in terms of effectivity in leveling rogues do it worse.

I agree. I leveled a warlock and a rogue recently and in terms of kill speed and effectiveness I would even say you can almost level 2 warlocks by the time you level 1 rogue.
Rogue seems nice for these quests where you have to kill 1 dude at the end of a cave etc but all “kill a lot of these and alot of these” quests are so insanely slow. No one wants you for dungeons, all elite quests where the mob is immune to slows are almost impossible.

Personnal experience after leveling way too many alt :
Priest and rogue.
Leveled during bfa and sl so not up to date with df leveling

I think Rogue was 100 times better then warrior, on my Rogue i could solo most elite quests. On my warrior this would just be a dream.

This used to be the case, but nowadays warriors are actually top dog levelers. Unrelenting assault/prot-spec is almost unmatched in terms of efficiency, and deep prot is not a bad choice either. Being able to tank also makes you very desireable in dungeons.

And if you for some reason don’t enjoy the sword and board playstyle, arms is not a terrible choice either. Not as efficient as the above, but can dish out some good damage with sweeping strikes, bladestorm and hard hitting sudden death/overpower procs.

Unrelenting assault takes some lvls before you can get it tho, like lvl 35-50 ish?

DF levelling is basically the same as SL, although 60-70 is much faster than 50-60 was.

Level 46 for both points in UA and 0 points in prot.

Warrior is easy to level in WoTLK because you also get victory rush at low level, and access to heirlooms means that you’re always going to be overgeared for your level. Poor gear is basically what made warrior levelling such a pain in Vanilla.

Yeah if you clear up side quests as you go you should get level 70 relatively fast (I should get mine around the end of second zone I feel).

As for WotLK I’d say Rogue again mostly due to their lack of ability to AoE Grind. Hell even Priest can do that as long as you’re willing to respec around level 50-60. You start as Discipline and the moment you get Holy Nova… Oh boy you’re really going to like it. If you invest into strengthening it you’ll be able to clear multiple mobs at same time though you will need to rest and drink after bigger fights (there’s only so much you can gain through Spirit Tap). Around Level 50 Shadow already outpaces it and well yeah you’re set on the merry murder way through your DoTs

With most Melee classes it’s bad weapon=bad levelling, not so much with ranged classes.

It doesn’t really bother me if a class is bad or not to level, it’s far more the playstyle for me, like the first 10 levels of druid. I hated it.

Not actually sure… With heirlooms everything is easy. Easiest paladin for sure you can solo dungeons with heirlooms, longest maybe… Warrior?

warrior ua build is for sure best or one of the best in the game. They are unkillable and can dish out 3-5k dps at low 70s.

Out of all specs i have leveled so far, rogue being the one that i havent gotten to Wotlk.

Bm is unironically the slowest, maybe tied with enhance, but idk enhance feels a lot better, cause you dont rely on your pet to need to get aggro to start blasting so you can hit anything. In general no class (again outside rogue) has felt bad or really slow.

I find enhancement really fast, especially at higher levels with the wolves and the other cooldowns. Then again I have been playing it since TBC, the original one not classic TBC.

I also found enh really fast. It starts off slow as hell until around 40-42 when you get dual wield, stormstrike and lava lash, then even more with maelstrom weapon. It’s as simple as aa - ss - mob dead, onto the next.

Soloing elites with your wolves is super easy at 60+ too

Shaman, Totems are a headache.

My rogue made it to wotlk now and surprisingly, it is ALOT better than in mid classic to end of TBC. I still level in the same heirlooms and questing gear but I don’t need to bandage/eat after 1-2 mobs anymore, damage output is quite good and it feels better overall. I feel like the worst level range was from maybe 45 - 68… slow and painful.
