Now listen to me rant.
I’m starting to hate being a caster dps in WotLK. And I’m not even talking about having to move around a lot during boss encounters in ICC. I played paladin class when this patch was released the first time. So I didn’t really feel it but now I do.
I myself am a trinket enthusiast. The difficulty of obtaining a single good trinket in this expansion as a caster is just extreme when you need two of them. Do you know how many caster trinkets drop in ICC 10? Just one. And in 4 weeks I have yet to see it drop. ICC 25 has two and only one dropped in a month, to be shared among 8-9 casters. What is this famine? this scarcity?!
For us casters, emblems are of no use either. While it is a different situation for melee. Sidereal gives them two good trinkets: Mjolnir Runestone and Dark Matter. How many does it give to casters?? None!! Scourgestones can get us the single useful trinket: Flare of Heavens. Melee is still not short of amazing ones: Comet’s Trail and Death’s Verdict. ‘How about frost?’ you may ask. Highly useful Herkuml War Token for melee and terrible Maghia’s Misguided Quill with sh*t tonne of hit rating. What am I supposed to do with this? I am already hit capped!
To sum it up, Blizzard should have learned from past mistakes. and improve classic. Give us better drop rates for the items which will have to be shared among so many classes.
