Hey,
What do y’all think of a WOTLK legacy server? I feel like it’s the only thing that will make me long more than twice a week (once to do m+, and another time to open the weekly chest)

We just got classic.
But, WOTLK!!
But, Tbc!!
First we must see classic released. And if it will be popular, perhaps Blizzard will release 2.4 TBC servers. And if TBC gets popular there is a high probability that 3.3.5a WotLK will make it into the list. But there is a lot of technical difficulties involved, for example a lot of data is lost for those patches, so it might take a while to develop.
And then cata and mop etc.
I recently played on woltk server and my personal opinion mists of pandaria is better a little. Still both mists and woltk is much better than BFA.
True. In 10 years we’ll be back at BfA again with cries for WoW Classic 2.
I think the only way expansions would be achievable in this context would be to have the expansions as separate games with no interaction with the previous game. So you have a character on WoW Classic, a character on WoW TBC Classic etc. Perhaps with the ability to clone your character across a la PTR. No idea how Blizzard would sustain numbers across them all though.
how is Blizzard going to handel arena in a stagnated Expansion past classic ?
TBH i would love a TBC server but that isn’t going to happen
so just go play classic WoW
you mean you would love
Ikr game is utter garbage on its current form.
Classic servers might save few subs since they hit on nostalgia.
As soon as people realise that the upcoming Vanilla aint the Vanilla they have in mind from their high school years , they will get disappointed and leave it as well.
Giving every expansion a server only for that era , its also garbage idea.
Thats why there are private free servers anyway.
Making different servers for different expansions aint the solution.
Activision gotta understand that they need to fix things on retail , making things laughable easy and simple will only harm the playerbase and people will keep demanding TBC - WotLK servers and so on.
I think once they see how successful the Classic server is they can judge whether or not it’s worth the time and money making them for other expansions. I think it’s inevitable that people will ask for them.
But we have no idea if it’s going to be cost effective or how many people will actually stay on Classic servers regularly after the hype dies down.
Only time will tell.
I agree. I always thought that would be a good idea. Like at first they release classic. 2 years after they release TBC seperately and give the ability for players to clone their character to that TBC server. Same thing 2 years after that for WOTLK, etc…
