Would a Warlock and a Demon Hunter get along well or would they see each other as rivals?
Tehd & Marius are the living (well, kind of, since Tehd Shoemaker is an undead warlock, but Marius Felbane tolerates him, even dare to say… friends?) proof, they could get along pretty well
I would say they would probably “typically” be more rivals than jolly comrades,
which is also reflected in some of the Tehd & Marius encounters,
since demon hunters focus on killing demons,
while warlocks are all about using them (and their powers),
(which might make them both distrust each other)
but demon hunters also use demonic powers, so it could go both ways,
probably depending on how openminded they both are.
Warlocks are amusing, Illidari are handsome. Let them live in peace so we don’t need to choose.
They’re both experts on the infernal and cooperate well, knowing the scope of the Legion’s power and its threat. They may not entirely agree with each other’s methods but can find much common ground. Especially so if the warlock struggles with the call of the Fel. Mutually supportive, they can accomplish much.
And worst case scenario.
:cast_enslave_demon: on a demon hunter.
Demon Hunters do work with actual demons that have turned their back on the Legion. So long as they’re fighting for the same team (e.g. no Legion loyalist Warlocks or such), I don’t think they’d have that big an issue with the stuff Warlocks do.
It really depends. My Demon Hunter “tolerates” Warlocks, as it would be hypocritical of her to judge others using demonic energies to do good.
However, most of the work she does after the burning legions collapse is the result of amateur warlocks summoning demons and failing to bind them.
She often bullies warlocks as mortal children naively dabbling with powers without knowing the risks and consequences.
To keep it short. Demon Hunters accept disciplined Warlocks within their groups. But they will have no patience with fools who secretly dabble with dark magic and become a risk to others.
