The fact that EU regulations will prevent you from making poor financial decisions whilst simultaneously allowing you to purchase as much alcohol and tobacco as you desire is a hilarious double standard.
I think itâs more that this would be a real money gambling/lottery thing, and probably force a +18 rating on the game, which I donât see Blizzard being fine with that.
Except EU and indeed all countries within it, has strict rules on age restrictions regarding these things.
The same applies to gambling, which lootboxes are in essence.
You think itâs fine for kids to gamble? WoW is still rated 12+.
I love the mounts, but I wouldnât buy loot boxes to get them even if I could. Predatory money-making scheme.
Mounts? yes
Lootboxes? Nope
And helps to further encourage a gambling style attitude - especially towards children.
I donât see why a specific country/people should get access to a mount, but I shouldnât. Whatâs the reasoning behind that anyway?
@Blizzard, this is a sure fire way of making a certain category of your player base feel less valued over another.
except blizzard dont own wow in china netease does blizzard has no control over it.
the one from firelands yes
It isnât their franchise?
yes but they still have no control over netease and china has different laws. unless they want to pull the plug and lose around 2 million + players and % of royalities.
last time they tried it cost and lost them big time when they tried to interfer
Well, my comment still stands. They own their franchise, they have the ability to ensure fairness in relation to to content offered.
Iâm not sure how Chinese laws comes into whether or not Blizzard can offer them exclusive mounts or otherwise, and certainly not in this example.
Yes, but not tied to those absolutely ridiculous acquisition methods. Lootboxes you have to pay for with real money? Piss off with this crap!
im not sure if you are trolling but its neteaze not blizzard that make and supply the mounts. it would mean blizzard would have to buy from netease and then try and sale them.
We seem to be going around in circles here, and to accuse me of trolling seems to be your way of an attempt at winning an argument and shutting down what I am trying to get across, so I will try again, and for the final time - seeing as my comments are obviously not welcomed within this topic.
It is Blizzards franchise. They control who they sell it to and what they are willing to accept or otherwise to any 3rd party. I feel content, like a mounts, should be accessible to everyone - whether the colour is different etc etc.
Itâs a simple comment and opinion, yet youâve accused me of trolling. Good day.
What part of it do you not understand . Netease not blizzard own those mounts.
they are just recolours yes but man would a blood elf look good either
yeah I want those
I would like to see exactly 0 of what WoW China added to the game. Zero, nada, nothing.
US gets Unique mounts, (albeit recolours), China get unique mounts, can you imagine if EU got something unique unavailable to anyone else? My lord, there would be mass riots and blizzard would give it to the US and everyone else in no time flat!
Yup, there would be uproar.
Would I like to see these mounts? Not on the described conditions.
Itâs a predatory practice and whoever invented it in the first place should go straight to jail and not pick up their 200 when passing âGoâ.
