Would you rather have an expansion in

Cyberpunk 2077 universe with player housing apartments or 1800 samurai era japan with blademasters as a class.

If none I’m curious on what era/game you would choose.

Personally I hate futuristic games, so it wouldnt be cyberpunk.

Id want them to do a Lord of the Rings MMO thats better than the current one.

I would rather have an expansion in the current timeline where Arthas didnt became a faint blue fart cloud in “hell”.

Don’t play either, guess question would be better served on the relevant forums

Don’t have to play them to understand the theme they are going for.

An expansion future where we keep it warcraft. But at the same time don’t fall into the ‘‘Dragonball’’ trap when it comes to our villains… Where the next big bad has to be a bigger cosmic bad even stronger to justify it. An expansion where we all come down to earth again (Or Azeroth)

An expansion with more medieval looking armor styles and transmog for us all that doesn’t glow and spark and are super extravagant. And where the stories ‘‘ompfh’’ factor and originality isn’t based off how big and bad or how much covid soar throat our new main villain has -_- …Sorry yes this was awfully spesific.

I want better stories and villains based of good story and writing. And not a dragonbal power scale.

I’m just bored of anything azeroth, i want blizzard to go crazy next expansion, And no please no space travel to another medieval planet.

So whats the alternative? …We travel trough a new dark portal and get space cars and FPS gameplay and tazers instead? Change the game entirely?

could always just play a different game right?
I’m playing dragon age occasionally now to prepare a savefile for dreadwolf and having a blast

wow should stay wow

There is a reason no one cares about this game anymore and dragonflight barely retained players. All i’m asking is for blizzard to think outside the box, but for blizzard thinking outside the box is how they can make people grind more or waste peoples time like how they did in bfa and shadowlands.

That’s what most people did…Permanently.

Woah… Wow wow… to the wow… Is this a objective fact or just your personal opinion?

I am all for thinking outside the box. Id be right behind you calling for a Star craft mmo for example set in a sci-fi future. But this? Its rather radical don’t you think?

I’m litteraly the biggest fanboy this game has, but it’s not my opinion it’s the truth that dragonflight failed to retain most of the players it lost in shadowlands and bfa.

I would like an expansion set in the past of WoW. Pre-Dark Portal opening.

It would be litteraly the same thing we have now, same feel to the zones same vibe, sounds like a flop.

ZERO HYPE

Classic minus… Literally.

I don’t want to be pedantic, but you can’t retain players you’ve lost. You can regain them but retaining means keeping.

I would hate a cyberpunk expansion; I really don’t like that sort of thing. Mediaeval sounds interesting like a sort of way way back in azeroth history expansion.

I haven’t specified an Era, I just said Pre-dark portal opening.

They could come up with anything to make an interesting storyline. that’s the job of writers after all.

In context of wow players being worse than real life addicts i think retain is an acceptable term, most who quit were WoW only players at somepoint.

I’m fine with a samurai japan themed expansion.

Anything but the boring vanilla vibe azeroth we have now. litteraly knew the second this expansion will have 0 hype when i saw the trailer.

Interesting… Where you more hyped for Shadowlands in that case? Not setting up a trap or anything. I wont even reply after your answer. I just want to know if that recepie was more appealing to you or not. Zones and world wise.
