Would you rather have an expansion in

I was thinking more like a 200 level mega complex that have instanced apartments with only the lounge and lobby being non instanced.

But if they go with smaller scale they have to make multiple in different locations.

So instead of designing a raid that barely anyone plays, they can design something inspired by other games with playerhousing.

and they can expand on a concept like this aswell.

as long as it’s not the boring theme wow has now.

You know… You say allot of these things like ‘‘nobody cares’’ Or ‘‘Nobody plays’’ Like they are facts and not your opinion.

If your suggestions where such bangers and the will of everybody. Wouldn’t you be drowning in likes by now?

Support the suggestion of new ideas and approaches though.

I’ve always hated sci-fi, guns, mechas and space stuff.

To me Star wars, transformers and such are boring and lame.

So I would rather much prefer fantasy/medieval things, I think the only ever online shooting game I’ve played was overwatch, because Reinhardt looked so cool.

According to dataforazeroth a whopping 12% of players cleared hc vault of the incarnates and 26% cleared normal, that’s 1/4 of the entire playerbase, so instead of wasting time creating something 1/4th of the playerbase enjoy every tier and decreasing season by season since shadowlands.

They can create a permanent new feature and spend dev time creating things that more people interact with.

And i’m glad they decided to recycle old dungeons for mythic + i think they should do the same to raids and create less raids every expansion.

Always 1800 century samurai Japan.

One of my all time favourite games is Total War Shogun

A shogun main character would probably have more fun story than the last 3 expansions stories combined.

‘‘That just tells me a whooping 3/4th of the player base are casuals and noobs at this game’’

No but seriously… It sort of kind of does. I mean thats coming from me… Your drunk mental forum cringelord vulpera poster…

I am all for the devs creating more content and world to play in for everybody though.

I am just not sure everybody wants to play World of warcraft too actually play Cyberpunk 2077 mmo instead. You know what I mean?

It’s like in guild wars 2. Where you decided to play a thief to be a rogue character… But in the end. End up as a FBI sniper class far off from what you signed up for.

You can still play WoW in a more intresting setting than boring dragonlands.

It could be samurais or a futuristic planet. or litterally anything else that’s not the basic boring material that is dragonlands no wonder this expansion had ZERO hype, with probably the worst trailer in gaming history attached to it.

I hear you… I am sorry. I am going to hard on this.

I always talk with statistics, all the things i’ve said are facts backed up with statistics.

And no problem i don’t mind providing sources to my claims.

I don’t think… just because allot of people never make it trough their raids and all that… They would want wow to turn into a completely different game entirely though…

Your solution is very much on the far end of the spectrum.

Less focus needs to be put on raiding and dungeons, and instead we need fun content to do when we login into the game, this could be playerhousing more stuff like darkmoon faire or even tradingpost.

Instead of making the story and setting for raiding they need to create the setting of an expansion for the fun content you can do.

Now thats more like it. I can get more behind this than turning the game into Cyberpunk! x)

a futuristic enviorment could be a change from the boring and bland setting we have now.

so can be a samurai expansion.

Like a distant future where gnomish and goblin techonolgy as taken more over? Could be done i guess and it would be more warcraft…

But it would change the fantasy setting and rules of our world drastically. Our classes and everything would have to adapt to our new futuristic Gnome/Goblin corporate future.

Magic and fantasy and all.

That’s up to their story writers. all i’m saying is that this expansion is boring and it had zero hype and will have zero hype until it’s over.

Tbh, I don’t think your suggestion would have made it any better… why are dragons a problem? I don’t like how dracthyr look like. This has not much to do with me disliking dragons. I always loved dragons in-fact

Every mmo since the dawn of time had dragons in it, and putting such generic bland thing as the main selling point of an expansion is the best way to make everyone participating to fall a sleep.

Nah. Dragons are timeless, and they will always be cool. Dragons should have been fierce and dangerous though with sharp teeth and savagery… Dragons have always been monsters in our mythology and culture in europe. Not dracthyr doing tiktok dances with such humanoid proportions, and their whole scaley vibe…

Yeah timeless.

Just look at the views difference. views means eyes on the game, eyes on the game means players playing it.

Shadowlands was a bad game but it still had more players.

Dragonflight is a good game but has zero hype therefore and has less players factually, that’s why they didn’t say how many copies they sold.
