Hi! Title says all
Yes in 10 characters.
The server is stable and very little lag, but the people are less social than some of the other realms. If raiding is your thing Tarren-Mill as Horde is for you.
If you are looking for friendly people and like to chat to other people. A RP server like Argent-Dawn is for you. But the server does have some lag sometimes.
Its a good server indeed, personally i found Stormscale to be my favorite over the years but i had to swap guild Pre-SL
Not an rp server.
I know, I know “I don’t want to RP” and that is just cool. But the people on an RP server are a lot more helpful than on other servers. Here is an example:
To complete the Mechagon story line in BfA you had to complete the Mechagon dungeon which was only available on mythic originally. Now I did the story line on both Horde (Tarren Mill - Druid) and Alliance (Argent Dawn - BM Hunter) because I wanted to see the whole story from both sides. I finished the Horde story before the Alliance one because my Horde Druid is my main. But when I got to the part where I had to do the Mechagon dungeon I literally spent a few days on Tarren Mill to try and get a group. Everyone gave me “your RaiderIO score is too low…” and it is because I don’t raid. I only raid and dungeon when I have too so my gear is usually whatever drops on WQs. So I gave up on Tarren Mill and went on with the Alliance guy on Argent Dawn. I spent about 30 min on group finder and got into a Pug group that were geared way better than me something like 30 levels above me. I completely sucked at the dungeon on mythic level, but not once did the group leader loose his cool. The tank and the healer and the other 2 DPS never rage quit or kicked me out. They were friendly and gave me advice on mechanics. I even got lost the one time and one of the guys ran back to come and fetch me. We got the dungeon done and I asked them why they did not kick me and the group leader just said “everyone has to learn somehow and if someone fails you can either help them or kick them and by helping them you make it better from them and anyone else who gets in a group with them, kicking them helps no one”. After that I mailed them each 100K gold.
I have characters on Tarren-Mill, Draenor, Silvermoon and Argent-Dawn because I trade in battle pets and I have only encountered that on Argent-Dawn, never on any of the other realms and not only once but a few times even with other things as well. Instances when you need to be 2 people to complete something you can just ask any random player going past and they will stop and help you. When you wave at another player, they wave back and greet you. They never get all flustered and run away.
On Tarren-Mill, Draenor and Silvermoon if players fail on a raid or dungeon boss usually half the group quits immediately.
Lies and slander! RP servers have some of the worst receiving of new people.
Just ask in the local zone channels at least when it comes to Tarren Mill. Unless you play in the dead hours of night, you are in fact likely to find someone to help. Case in point - the 3man bells in Bastion.
Ya, in a 3rd rate pug of nobodies it does. There are communities and guilds that would help out and they don’t break apart after 1 failed attempt.
Don’t mess with their RP and they won’t mess with you. Be friendly and greet a passing citizen and it will be returned in kind.
And then you get every looney trying to sell you a boost. The only reason a person on Tarren-Mill will stop and help you with WQ is if they are busy doing the same WQ.
Spoken like a true Raider IO elitist.
Only in main hubs on trade channel, which you should opt out of anyway.
I am not talking about WQs. But random events found in the zones, such as the above mentioned 3man bells.
Everyone who leaves after 1 wipe is a 3rd rate nobody that only seeks to be carried by their betters to me. And no, I don’t subscribe to the whole R io thing.
That might go as far as being in their vicinity (god forbid with a Tmog they don’t like) it’s so vague. Btw said case was in fact one among many why I wouldn’t touch RP servers with a kilometer long pole.
I however have no problem to be in a dungeon with AD people. Aside from a single case (period) of severe “gogogo mentality”.
