Hi.
I just bought the old WoW board game from Fantasy flight games 2005. Its nice but takes some time to play! Im so happy i finally found a copy tho for my collection!
Have you guys played it?Did u like it?
And how about the Small World of warcraft, i heard that its nice?
And how about the TCG? I never tried that.
And then there Monopoly-Wow edition but they are only themed on original an game. And maybe Risk.
I like board games, its very social and a great way to hang with friends outside Azeroth!
i wonder what having irl friends is like haha.
my older brother gave me his old tcg cards hes actually the one who got me started playing back in 2011.
unfortunately no spectral tiger or loot cards, some cool looking npcs i guess though
Have u played the TCG aswell and did u like it?
no never had enough cards for an actual deck , i just liked looking at the art.
I play hearthstone if that counts lol, i think that was just the evolution of wow tcg.
Never played any of the wow board games, from what i can gather its a territory style board game though?
kind of like monopoly?
I’ve seen the Small World of Warcraft advertised but I’ve not played it myself.
TCG is more like a copy of Magic the gathering with wow theme. I think Brian Kibler was one of the developer.
The board game is like u say territory based and a lot more.
Sounds cool!
If I had this and tried to play it with my friends though they’d probably have no idea what’s going on, I’m the only one that plays WoW!
I remember seeing the WoW Monopoly a few years back and I wanted to play it so bad, but none of them had any idea with regards to the locations on the board and what not.
Maybe I could talk my boyfriend into playing it with me though, sounds up his street!
I used to play wow tcg back in the days after school around 2008.
There was a local gameshop mostly mtg, yugioh and pokemon, but one evening a week they would play draft in wow. You pay like 15€ i think and you got a few packs to crack open.
After that you make a small deck of 20 cards or so i think and then you play matches. At the end you get to keep all your cards and get some free promo cards. Winner usually got some rubber playmats, which were very nice looking with wow art!
The current expansion set was fire of outland and after that the legion set. Unfortunately the store didnt make enough revenue and had to close down.
If you like your local store, consider buying stuff there to support them or else they might close down. Especially now with the pandemic.
I love board games, but honestly I can think of many of them better than the WoW boardgame.
