WOW Bot bans

Bot ban waves happen every x months…but last week i was reporting many bots over 100 reports on 5 chars. this week i got mail, 10 GM blue mail that said due to my reports a bot was banned!

so reporting works, it s just that not many do it!

if anyone is interested we can make a community in game to do a weekly ‘‘cleanup’’ fly over in zaralek, drustvar, ohnara, azure span and report bots together to make more bans and clean wow from illegal bots who destroy the value of our honest gathered gold

after a few people supporting this i made a community . link does never expire.

it should be cross faction

You can make an in-game community so people can apply and join. You just need to leave some info here and other places where you think people might be interested

I got suspended in the past for a couple of hours (twice) because of people behaving in the way that you are suggesting. I won’t even use add-ons of any kind. The way I look at it, the company suppling the game should supply everything you need to play it (regarding the game’s software).

So I’m just wondering how many innocent players you and your group of vigilantes will get banded or suspended.

You see when groups of players send organised reports against other players it adds weight to their argument if the company isn’t aware of the link between those reporting players.

Currently, bots are almost exclusively in very low level gear [ilvl 200+] farming in greens at level 70 (leveled up from 60 to 70 via gathering). You’d be hard pressed thinking an ilvl 400+ fella is a mass made farming bot.

They hid the thread because you keep making them xD

They could use Microsofts AI easily now without legal hassles… this company does it

No, things that did happen.

If you carry on down the road you are talking about, things that will happened to someone else in the future.

yeah no, you were botting, i can tell just from the way you talk about it

Wrong, I’ve never used any add-on or bot programs in any MMO and I started playing MMOs in 2004.

In ESO I still have the exclamation mark next to the add-ons tab as I never had to sign the agreement for using add-ons, for the simple reason I don’t use them.

I don’t like botters, but then I’m not keen on vigilantes either.

I can’t think of anything good to say about botters just as I can’t think of anything good to say about RMTers.

Like a lot of people I don’t like those that cheat in any game. My posts are not designed to defend those that cheat and I would never do so.

Don’t feed the trolls.

Well with all the posting I’ve done on this subject that statement I just made was probably needed.

At least the non-trolls will know where I’m coming from.

That’s fair. If you feel you need to make a stand you should definitely do so.

I just wanted to save you from the aggravation of what looked like a pointless discussion. I tend to fall for that myself from time to time.

you are not fooling anyone just stop dude

if you got wronly banned open gm ticket to prove ur point.

in my time so far in retail DF i have seen ZERO gnome bots. its taurenshighmountains druids+hunters, evokers, and some paladins 99% of the time

Can someone write bot which hunts bots and sell it microsoft for trillions then post here pics on yacht with 6 chicks ? Please

I don’t report bots because I barely see them on my RP realm. Like, REALLY barely.

On a PvE realm that would be different tho.

I’ve seen a good number of them in their usual spots on my RP character. The people who use the botting software don’t go “oh yeah we better no make our bots farm on RP realms, none of those players buy our gold!”

Considering RP server players spend a lot of gold on transmogs, I’d beg to differ :stuck_out_tongue:
