WoW Census

Hi,

Since Realmpop stopped working, what’s considered the most accurate WoW Census website now?

There isn’t really one for Retail.

Queue the noobheads coming in claiming there is an accurate one.

For a rough idea of populations

Blizzard don’t like this information getting out. If yousaw everyone leaving a club, you’d probably leave too. To this end, Blizzzard don’t like realm populations or sub numbers being shown.

Does it matter? I mean if you found out there were only 50k players in total EU, but you are one of these 50k and you still enjoy the game, will you stop playing?

A lot of WoW players seem to have a sheep mentality so some definitely would.

And that’s a shame don’t you think? If you enjoy something, why not carry on with it and forget what others say or how they view it, we each pay to play so my stance is play and enjoy yourself, when the enjoyment stops so does my sub

Yeah I think it’s a shame, people seem to really hate this game sometimes but still want to pay for it and post about how bad it is. If you don’t like it, stop playing. If you do like it, keep playing. Idk how that’s so hard for some.

That is called sheep mentality. Just because some people do a thing doesn’t mean you should replicate it just because.
To give you a another analogy:
If you see a group of people jumping off a cliff, will you follow them through?

yes, because they probably know it is not as dangerous as defined by past experience & knowledge - what if it has a ledge with binoculars to look in the distance?

that is called trust :р

People love the game and universe and are severely hooked on it all. Blizz takes advantage of our addictions and the playerbase know and hate that behaviour.
It is very difficult to stop. even if I am going through a rough stage like I am now with that game. I just feel compelled to log in.

Its not a matter of saying if you dont like it then stop. Im afraid.

Not the same thing at all.
If you saw sub numbers on wow dwindle from say, 1,000,000 to 100,000 in the spaceof 6 months, and its spread across many servers, youd probably look for a more populated MMO so you have faster queues and more people to play with. Jumping off a cliff is literally sudoku. Stop being so hyperbolic because you don’t like the point being made.
