The so called “improved” honor system isn’t actually an improvement though is it?
Having a little fun and gathering 40k honor during a week and have it just be wasted is just sad. Any honor should help progress your ranks.
It’s like if you don’t raid for 1 week all your dungeon loot gets deleted
Hope it receives some more improvements, since the 1 single change they did isn’t enough. This was a fire and forget kinda deal.
No RP realm makes me very sad.
I’m slightly put off with how packed everything is going to be on the PvE realm… the worst part of classic, for me, was fighting for mobs and nodes against other players.
However, I will give it a try because I’ve wanted for years for this to happen.
Which version of WoW classic will I need to install? Era or Current? When will I get to reserve my name?

im guessing era, there you get hc, era and sod. cata will be its own install i belive. not 100% sure tho.

Era didnt survive 3 years tho.
It survived barley 1 year and died after that. Like 10 players online for a year.
Then unnoficial hardcore was released 1 year later and the servers got popular again. And then its been back and forth on populations thanks to sod, wrath etc.
You literally confirmed that you don’t care about RP, you just want stuff for yourself. 
In your world maybe. Been playing Classic / Classic Era all five years - it has never been dead although it was a bit dull the first months after TBC launch.
But lovely news from the WoW team. I was preparing for a disaster but this time they actually surprised me positively.

there are many different opinions I think about the gdkp ban, if this decision is made in the will of the players who do not want it. why not also make a server for people who wish to be able to gdkp, for me the social aspect is positive it allowed me to meet a lot of people from different guilds that I would perhaps never have played, the gdkp allows to make play all types of players together regardless of them skill
we all know that blizzard does not like the rmt you could include the tokens on these servers which reduces I think a part of the purchase via other means
let the players play how they want without leaving a part of players
Two different woes. Like Nim I’d like more realms, less if not evn no layering and a population looking more like Vanilla.
If I had had my way we’d have 4 PvE, 4 PvP 1 RP-PvP and 1 RP-PvE per region, not one worldwide mega server for PvE and PvP only.

Bro before unnoficial hc servers era servers had 2 guilds raiding and that was pretty much it on the biggest server.
The ah was empty and this was the biggest eu server aswell.
After all thst tho eras gained some popularity again☺️
You can watch videos back then aswell when ppl walk around in empty sw and checking wmöty ahs.
I think the timeline was around late 2020-2022 something.
No gdkp works very well in sod which is still active so will most likley be good for era aswell.
You are hyperbolizing a wee bit. I played Era server all the time, it was never that empty, at least not on Pyrewood. HW was empty - until the Addon players arrived - exept for me and 30 other IronMan players

Well neither do I. I’m not going to overcrowded hyper-layered fresh.
ERA will survive, alot of players are old and don’t have time to do everything all over again.

The only thing I didn’t like about this announcement is how hasty everything is. I’d like for at least 6 months before first raids opened to enjoy the leveling. I’ll still try to level, but probably will burn out and leave the game. But otherwise awesome announcement, even more so if that would lead to eternal TBC servers.
