We urgently need the retail AH on classic servers.
Most materials on my server are actively tracked by scammers. The issue grew during TBC and now is completely out of hand. During TBC it was only a few I blacklisted, since WOLTK release I can basically add an AH scammer to the blacklist daily.
They just put up a 1-stack of a material for half the price and have sniper setup that automatically buys out all who accidentally undercut (I post tons of auctions - no way I can individually check each item if it is currently being setup by a scammer).
I got enough gold and it’s just an annoyance to me, but I can imagine they scam so many people of whom a lot have lost may hours of farming.
Once I detect a scammer, I add that name to the TSM-blacklist and I won’t have an issue again with that scammer. But I think most of the playerbase doesn’t do that and gets frequently scammed.
Not only would the retail AH make buying more convenient, but it also would at the same time make it next to impossible for those individuals to scam people as it would be auto-sold once a single person buys any amount of that material.
Also as we are on a retail client, I really can’t understand why this wasn’t in from day 1 anyways.

We don’t see bots in Classic btw, they all left for Wrath of the Glitch King.
So you are saying if people aren’t taking a little bit of notice of what they post and for how much they get scammed, that’s fine with me. Honestly, they deserve it.

ANd scammers … hmm aI sometimes sell at half the price because I want to get it sold not having it on AH, and I find the exorbitant pricing of so many AH-riders just too much.
classic AH isnt even a AH anymore, its a error fest with low response lol. Also pple who undercut by a lot are scums that actually end up crashing the market till someone repairs it
I don’t. I do not use addons if I can avoid it. I have now a grand total of 4 addons, One removing the open all mail button, one having Achievement sound back, one giving me male/female in barber shop instead of body types, and finally one hiding the minimap (the last 3 Wrath only, not Era)
That said I do not use the AH very much. Mostly for selling my surplus for more than vendor price. I am largely self sufficient with alts doing the other professions.
I dont get why you prefer the AH to be spammed with single stacks of herbs, cloth completely overloading and slowing down the AH because people/addons have to scan billions of stacks. I give up with this. I think ppl responding in these forums just dont play classic (or at least dont play a lot).
yeah sure ill leave my top 10 world/server first guild to play on a dead server so I dont have AH issues anymore that Blizzard could easily fix by implementing retail AH which literally nobody has any downsides from except for scammers. Makes sense.
I don’t want to trivialize this but how does one accidentally undercut on items in AH except for using addon that automatically does all the work?
And I mean if you are using AH addon, you can and always should use it to compare the item prize per unit across multiple auctions of that items from several other players before decide your own prize and place the item for sale.
