Error #138 (0x8510008a) Fatal Exception!

Exemption: ACCESS_VIOLATION
The instruction at 0x000… referenced memory at 0x000…
The memory could not be “executed”.
Got the above error for the 8th time today. Happens on all of my characters and has never happened before today. I have updated all my addons, disabled all my addons, and reinstalled the game entirely. In each instance, the error persists.
Anyone have any ideas?
I got the exact same error 6 times already 
started today for me aswell. Driving me mad. Let me know if you manage to solve it and how. I’ll do the same
Usually this sort of Exemption can be fixed with a selective startup. Once you follow the guide, try out the game before you do anything else and see if it works 
Figured it out after about 20 hours of troubleshooting including a wipe of my system with only nvidia drivers and bnet installed. My crash was caused by believe it or not, watching a specific youtube video. When I finally figured it out I had a bunch of friends (different setups, different browsers) watch the same video and they also crashed within minutes.
Clearly a fault on blizzards end with the wow classic client. Unfortunately, while reporting this to customer service I’m getting copy/paste replies implying that I still need help, but I’ve already found other ways of listening to coldplay xD. I hope this helps anyone out there who’s experiencing similar crashes. Feel free to try it out for yourself.

I’m also having ACCESS_VIOLATION crashes. However the video you link plays fine for me.
Does the crash only occur when you play WoW classic and then the video on a second monitor?
Yes. Crash also occurs if I play the video on the same monitor with wow running behind it. It is also the only video that I can replicate the crash with. I haven’t had a single crash since I stopped looking at that specific video and I pretty much watch/listen to youtube constantly while playing. I had error #138, you have the same error? If you do then try the weirdest troubleshoots and break patterns to see if crashes ends
