Hello,
So i decided to start playing vanilla , installed the game and got a subscription .Unfortunately i am facing two major problems
First when i launch the game using the battle.net app i just get a blank screen with the quit button ( ttps://imgur.com/zHVY2Al ) i can however access my account by running the executable WoWClassic.exe in …\World of Warcraft_classic_ .
The Second issue which is the more pressing is that the game is super laggy running at max 5 fps .So the first thing i tought to do was to make sure that it runs on the Nvidia card not the Intel (integrated) ; setting High-performance gpu as defaut was challenging because even though it was set as High performance GPU as preferred in Nvidia control pannel for wow classic the default GPU used was still Intel (
ttps://imgur.com/OL2xrBV ) i was able to bypass this issue by chosing Nvidia GPU in the global settings instead this forced wowclassic to use Nvidia GPU as default ( ttps://imgur.com/sSbMVur ) however the problem was not fixed it still runs at 3-5 fps (Basicly a slideshow)
Some of the thing i tried doing to fix the problem:
-I tried putting the Nvidia card as default from the settings inside the game but still the same problem.
-I tried a repair on classic.
-I tried reinstalling it again.
-I tried reinstalling Battle.net app and deleting residual files in appdata and temp.
-I deleted my Nvidia drivers and installed the most recent ones.
-I tried running Classic using DirectX11 using the command in Bnet app “-d3d11”
Ps: Wow retail works perfectly fine 60+ fps and i can actually hear my gpu fans running when i launch retail wow which is not the case for classic.
Edit : it seems what ever i do it is always using the Intel card as GPU.
My computer specs:
-Intel Core i7-4720HQ 2,59 GHz
-8 Go Ram
-Gpu :
Card n° 1 : Intel HD Graphics 4600
Card n° 2 : Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M
-Windows 8.1 (64bits)
