PvP and PvE are not on a 50/50 ratio… 5 or 6 pvp / 3 pve sounds about right

Like everyone else I think that more English PvP servers are absolutely necessary. Instead of putting 5 Layers on the 2 existing ones, just make 5-6 more servers. Even if you don’t think you can fill that many. It is important to the community, that not all of us are sitting on top of each other the entire time. Give us some space. Let us create our own server histories, because with a realm with 5 layers and 40k+ players that isn’t possible. Back in classic the server cap was around 2500. Sure that isn’t a lot in today’s standards, but I know for a fact, that a lot of us are willing to play on a smaller server like that.
Think it over. Open a handful more PvP servers for NameReservation!
I know you have been throwing us plenty of cookies so far with Classic. Why don’t you toss us a glass of milk as well, while you’re at it. Makes everything so much sweeter.

In 13 August to reser a name we need to be in americà Servers bé cause in clàssic wow beta and in stress test i codent go in can you gys ensered pls?
To be honest I’m not bothered about the names of the servers could be called Snickers and Mars for all I care!!. BUT and this is a BIG BUT the server numbers have got to be way way off. I tried the stress test the other night and if that’s anything to go by Blizzard is seriously under estimating the interest in classic. As a member of the first batch of players that played WOW in its first go round, they were not prepared for the interest back then and they sure as Hell have not learnt any lessons.
I resubbed just to play classic, not retail and expecting at least something that resembles the great game back then. But to be honest I’m starting to think that the pre naming , the excuses given by Blizzard for lets be honest,sharding/layering (or whatever half baked name they come up with for it) . the non beta testing of levels 40-60 by people not part of Blizz and now the number of servers just shows to me that Blizzard either A. Really don’t care about creating a true classic experience or B. Are looking at classic as a Back up cash cow for BOA (don’t forget you are still paying for BFA even if you are not playing it.)
COME ON BLIZZARD GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER LOTS OF PEOPLE MY AGE (46) ARE STOKED TO BE PLAYING THIS GREAT GAME ONCE AGAIN!! YOUVE RECREATED THE BEST MMO EVER MADE DONT FAIL YOURSELVES AND THE BRILLIANT COMMUNITY BY LETTING US ALL DOWN AT THE FINAL HURDLE.

How can you underrestimate how popular this game will become?
You had an insane opportunity to bring back old players, and now you’re screwing yourself and everyone over. Everyone is in panic mode.

They truly believe in a months time or so Russian, German and French servers will be below optimal population, but they nagged so much so on their heads be it, and the English servers will be somewhere around 10-15.000 in total, about right for four servers.
If their estimates are right, their decisions make sense. Except they overlook the loss of community the month they expect people actually play.
I definitely think they underestimate, just think of the next five phases, and anyway even if they’re right should prioritise leveling community higher and population in three months lower.
Not gonna disagree with you , you could be right the problem is the community suffers and to be honest that is my biggest concern with this server discussion, I made so many friends on classic that I played with for a number of years before a lot of us quit before cataclysm I know a lot of them are either planning on coming back or at at least thinking about it.
However if what we are gonna end up with are mega servers with layering/sharding the interest is gonna wane so fast it will be unbelieveable due to the fact the community aspect is just not gonna be there & that to a lot of people is the greatest thing wow ever achieved.

We agree. Community is the real issue. Or, mine too.
The only point is I’m convinced Blizzard want Classic to be the best experience they can. Most people take pride in their work, the classic team too. It makes economic sense, if nothing else.
Unfortunately, their decisions make success less likely, for just the reason you mention. They want it to work, but don’t think it actually will.
We NEED more than 2 PvP servers.

Not always, some servers had 10/90 ratios as well, there are stats out there.
People will flip out on your suggestions too. hydraxian waterlords is not a mouthful, and even then it will quickly transform into HW in everyday speech - just as some retail russian realm names did (for example Soulflayer realm in called Свежеватель Душ, but people just say СД in relation to that realm)
Wait, they seriously think 2 english pvp servers are enough? I mean comon, that’s just absolute bullcrap. They will be infested with streamers. Wow, I really can’t believe what I’m seeing.

The wierd thing is that game companies make almost every time something similar to what people want and not exactly. Why they don’t make many servers with 3-4K capacity and they make layering or Similar crap? Choose a server and play with the rest 3k people and happy new year 2004. They always invent something to solve problems that we never cared about in the first place.

Please Blizzard, reconsider releasing releasing more PVP servers for EU. I really think you are underestimating how many from EU (and even North Africa/West Asia) are gonna go english PVP realms. Please don’t screw this up.

I gotta ask. Im 100 % Alliance. & im also into PvP & RP. Why try to force me to pick a server with a Hordefaction in it?? (Zandalar tribe) Out of princible it’ll take the other one but really. Im suprised they did this. PvP-names should be neutral.
