Hello, i have VERRY frustrating problem. After playing wow for few minutes my internet connection starts droping constantly for few seconds then comes up, but it’s imposible to play the game like this. I had simmilar issue with some other game that i played online (lol to be specific) but i fixed the problem by turning off power managment for ethernet card in windows. The power managment is tunred off still, but ALAS new problem arised with wow. Am i doomed to do something with the card, or is there some other way to fix this, thank you for consideration, and sorry for my horrendous writing.

Sorry to hear that you’ve been experiencing internet drops whenever you go to start wow. This sort of issue is as you suspected typically something related directly to your network hardware (network card or router/modem).
Given the issue and the steps you took with your network card before. I would recommend and checking for any available driver updates. If the issue persists, you may be able to alleviate the issue by disabling the checksum offload features:
- Press windows key + R
- Type devmgmt.msc
- Click OK
- Expand the network adapaters
- Right click your network adapter
- Click properties
- Swap to the advanced mode
- Swap anything which has checksum or offload to “disabled”
If this change doesn’t resolve the issue, I’d test if power cycling your router/modem helps by turning it off for 2-3 minutes and restarting it. If it does persist, check with your ISP for any available firmware updates available as this can help address the issue.
