Hi there!
After like 10 months I wanted to give War Within a try and bought the expansion + gametime.
Unfortunately WoW keeps crashing after being ingame for several minutes. It seems to be happening quicker when I’m alt-tabbed and doing something else while WoW runs in the background.
This issue doesn’t appear with other games.
I already tried running a repair, reinstalled the entire game, disabled Optional GPU Features and Advanced Work Submit, already tried switching to DX11, update GPU drivers, running WoW as administrator, disabled all addons, but nothing seem to work.
I own a pre-built PC, HP Pavilion Gaming TG01-2960nd.
It has an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G and a RTX 3060 Ti.
It also has 32GB DDR4 RAM, which I upgraded a few months ago.
Does anybody have the magic trick for me to get rid of this issue?
Thanks in advance!
Check the logfile txt in C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\Errors and the Windows Event Viewer.
Hi there!
The Windows Event viewer doesn’t seem to show anything related to this crash.
Here is my Crash log file from WoW. I hope you can see what’s up with it? Because I can’t really see what’s the issue in it.
Since I can’t post links, I’ll post it like this, replace ‘(dot)’ with an actual dot: pastecode(dot)io/s/ainpbnr3
ERROR #138
Same as i had. But your security-code is 200 mine was 120. I don’t know what they are.
Do you see an error TPM-WMI with ID 1796 in Windows Event Viewer?
I have the same problem. Blizz dont help and i have try all ppl, say in here. Notthing help.
What happens if u remove the extra memory stick(s)?
I am about to try this soon.
I actually bought different RAM that is CL22, because apparently my Erica6 motherboard from my HP PC can’t enable XMP in the BIOS because it’s locked, therefore you need CL22.
Unfortunately, it still happens with the new RAM which is CL22, and it appears to happen when my RAM usage is 59%+
So it especially happens when you open up more applications.
I’m out of ideas how to fix this.
EDIT: I just tried removing the extra memory dimm and it still crashes. Even replaced the stock for a new one and it’s still crashing unfortunately.
EDIT 2: Just tried to play while keeping my RAM usage as low as possible, it still crashes even when RAM is just at 45% usage. I start to feel it’s a software issue.

There is nothing else I can find in the logs that could point to something specific that’s going on.
EDIT 3:
Another update.
I did a clean install of Windows on a partition and was able to run WoW without any issues. So it looks like it’s definitely some kind of software causing my issue.
I am currently trying to monitor my PC with software to see what’s happening exactly in the background.
But there is literally nothing that could cause this. And the software that was running I already tried to either disable or delete.
