WoW Crashes my PC

When I am playing the game, my PC will randomly freeze and I have to force shut down. This happens only when I am playing WoW. Both Classic and BfA cause my PC to crash. I have tried to Install literally every driver that might be out of date. I have made a fresh reinstallation of the game as well. The crash can happen randomly after minutes and sometimes after hours of playing. I cant think of what could be causing this issue.

Check the Windows 10 Event logs for critical errors and warnings

I have the same exact problem. Started yesterday.
happens in 5 minutes or then in 2 hours. I’v tried all the tricks I can think of.

Updated drivers
Repair
starting in admin mode
windowed mode
disabling addons
disabling all other programs
BOUGHT new PSU because I thought mine broke.
Cleaned GPU and CPU.
etc.

I get Kernel power error 41 but I know that it happens but that doesn’t really give me a solution.

Kernel Power Error 41 just means that the PC was restarted without being shut down correctly.

As we already know this to be the case, you can disregard KPE41’s.

Look for other errors or warnings that occurred just before the KPE41.

I just checked and as the other guy said it I also got KPE41. I always get Errors from event ID 6008 and ID 1101 together with the KPE41.

Event ID 6008: Unexpected Shutdown due to Critical Thermal Event.
One or more of your components reported to the Windows Kernel, that it’s temperature was outside of normal parameters, and as such, Windows executed an emergency shutdown to prevent possible damage to the system.

Event 1101: Audit Events Dropped
Too many events of the same ID happened at once, so Windows chose not to make log entries for them.

The 6008 event is the telling one, you have thermal issues somewhere.

Hey Xarxus,

Thank you for the info so far. As Trovlak mentioned, let’s start by going through the steps listed in the Overheating support article. Go through those steps listed thoroughly, and see if that improves things for you.

Have a few seconds to spare? Let me know how I’m doing!

Alright, thanks for the help! Looks like my CPU might be overheating. I ll try dusting (there is definetelly some dust inside) and maybe applying some thermal paste.
