wow crashes on OS X when pressing certain button

Ok I have this problem for a pretty good time and I'm slowly having enough. Problem occured on 10.9 and it was still present in 10.10 and I still have it on 10.11.

When I play wow on my mac, I get crashes if I have keyboard layout set to anything different than US and pressing one button left of one (above tab). I can play with US layout, but then I cannot write with my language specific characters.

I have read once about this problem, but it seems I can't find this on forums anymore. It's kinda strange, we cannot play wow on macs with any other keyboard layout than US one.

And yes I need that button on keyboard so I would be very happy for some nice solution. And no I won't switch to windows, I'm perfectly satisfied with OS X.

Can I ask what happens when the game crashes, do you get an error message?

Before I got error messages, but now in 10.11 it is just an text field to write about error and reopen and close button with checkbox to send data to blizzard.

I'm sorry but I've looked through the database where these errors get sent and I'm not seeing your error there, meaning we haven't received it under that code.

Can you take a screenshot of the next error you get, then upload that somewhere and reply back with that?

Hey Nummy,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Have you tried using the repair tool yet? You can find it in the Battle.net launcher in the WoW window, in the Options menu select Scan and Repair.

If you have and that hasn't helped, please try the steps outlined here:

I tried repair and turning off login items, nothing works.
Actually only login items I have is iTunesHelper service and one custom for network disk mount.
I tried do the same on notebook (Mac book pro 15") and got same crash with same keyboard layout.

Is there really no help here for this? It is very crazy I have to constantly switch keyboard layout when playing wow and using other programs...

same issue, 100% repeatable, meaning the testers haven't even done the most basic keyboard testing. Killing background apps does not really help if your program is buggy and can not handle simple keypress event from "dead" keys. Perhaps its time to actually notify your developers to start to read the crash reports the blizzard is receiving.

I am still having the very same issue when using the native character (Lower case s with cedilla (ASCII 159)) which is designated to ; character in US keyboard. (right of letter L)

It's been months that we face this, and crash reports must have been piling up on this issue.

Can we get a decent response please?

I have a turkish keyboard and when i pressed "ş" the game crashing..
