WoW Custom Desktop Shortcuts

Hi,

i would like to have custom functionality for my WoW icons on my Windows Desktop background, that enables me to click the icon and the game starts, automatically logs me in and starts the game.

Information

What i found so far is, that if i link directly to the *.exe file i have to login. So i have to somehow give an exec statement after opening or linking towards the Battle.net client.

With my below stated way of editing it seems like the Play Button is getting pressed inside the Battle.net launcher to actually start the game. So the Battle.net client needs to be started and this way the login information will be automatically filled via the logged login credentials.

What do i need help with

Does anyone know what --exec="*" statement is needed to start the classic game?

Progress

WoW - Retail: 100%

WoW - Classic: 0%

Edit to the desktop shortcuts

The edits were done to the destination of the shortcut

Retail:

"E:\Battle.net\World of Warcraft\World of Warcraft Launcher.exe" --exec="launch WoW"

Classic Era:

"E:\Battle.net\World of Warcraft\World of Warcraft Launcher.exe" --productcode=wow_classic_era

This used to be used to make shortcuts.

Due to how long the game can take to launch these days you might have to add a larger timeout command. Read the docs.

If the functionality you already have in place is good enough for you, here are the codes for the other games.

Wow Classic is WoWC.

I don’t think any method works any more, it will switch to the right game in the launcher but the game will not be launched.
