I thought it was battle.net, so I uninstalled and now bnet re-install is stuck on 0% for a few hours.
I downloaded a free VPN, set my location to HK and set my login region to Asia - it started downloading after 5 or so mins.
Same here tried hong kong didnt work.
Shame i lost an evening of playing the game.
Used windsribed. Changed to americas and use vpn to connect to NY. Suddenly 5mb/s and everything works

Same problem here.
1st start of the app, blue spot “Play” one says “Update” tho under it, it states “Waiting on another update”
Download manager says; “Queued 0%”
Please help!

restarting my pc cleared that step for me. stuck in initializing after though…so no real fix

change windscribe to NY and restart client and download should begin

Tried all the above nothing worked. I’m on Mac OS, located in UK.
Decided to delete everything related to Battle.net app, including the cache folders.
Now I’m stuck trying to reinstall Battle.net.

It stucked on Updating Battle.net… What a joke 
Guys I tried that Proto vpn app free account, tried US but it failed, then tried randomly some countries to no avail, and Japan worked!
This really is very poor service - any compensation for a whole evening waiting on Blizzards inability to release an expansion
Somebody suggested in a Twitch chat to log on to windows as admin. Worked like a charm for me.
Was able to get it downloaded switching vpn to Australia and restarting bnet.
Sadly, same here stuck at “Initializing…” for hour and half now.
Blizzard expects more players but clearly they aren’t acting like it
But it makes sense right ? You cant play but your game time is ticking away …
You cant make any progress so in the end you will need to buy more game time right ?
This is a win win situation for them ofc

Stuck like this for 4 hours, been stalking reddit, youtube anything to get this to work and no avail. Ah well hopefully I can play tomorrow

close battle net services in task manager
install a free vpn
restart pc
connect to usa or hong kong with the free vpn
open battle net
try and see if it works but wait one min or so …

after 3 hours no results still 0% i tried clear the cache run it with admin vpn wont work today is not a good day for playing wow atm with the launch day drama will repeat again
