Wow final expansion?

So this saga expansions means no new wow expansions it stops?

After Midnight another 2 themes are planned. I’m quite sure if remains popular (and profitable) enough they can probably squeeze as many more as they want before having to sunset it and think for real about a modernised game.

But we’ll see in another 10 years or so. See ya then Reddit, Google or whatever

I never could imagine wow has end :c
Dont shut it doooown xDDDD

I wonder what they will do after the void is dealt with.

The void has been the final boss of the game for as long as I can remember after tbc.

Nah… There is wow2

I can see final expansion as battle between light and dark and some romantic ending… There is no light without dark or dark without light xD Last titan wakeup and we need to leave Aeroth lol

I wonder how long wow will ride with us all. Before it decides that it needs new blood and fresh players. and wash out us oldies with a new and fresh gaming experience.

I wonder what that MMO will be like? Will it even be set in the wow franchise?

It’s just a big story arc that couldn’t be contained in 1 expansion

Probably will lead into a reboot i hope some day to get back to original warcraft 1 2 and 3 lore, perhaps when for some reason nozurdumu becomes the bad guy and sends everyone back in time while remaining the final boss in the future, you could drag this out by like another 10 20 expansions except we in the real time line then.

When the end comes I hope they release WoW Remix, remix all expansions… everything soloable <3

No, it’s basically being used as a tool to finish off some of the stories so they can create newer ones after the saga ends. The game is too much of a cash cow to simply abandon it.

People have also mentioned WoW 2, at most if that did happen I’d assume it would be the same game ported onto a different engine rather than creating a whole new game.

After Midnight we get World of UwUcraft, rise of the Vulpera

Let’s be honest:
can any of y’all imagine a MMORPG landscape without WoW?

What are competitors going to be compared against? FF14? The industry, as “niche” as it is, would die if FF14 would be the norm- and I say that not out of malice: that game is stagnant.

In final expansion of wow we will fight boss Beerwolf who is out for world domination .once a simple vulpera driven mad after touching beer  in a goldshire inn bar .

Hopefully.

It will. Look at the Sims 4, it’s going on since 11 years now. EA released 84 (!!!) DLC packs worth over 1k € and they are still releasing them regularly, even if the game is now bloated, full of bugs and packs are lackluster. Despite this, people keep buying packs so it will go on for many more years.

About WoW: people complain all the time, but still keep playing, so my guess is that it will continue for at least another decade, maybe even more.

Yes, there’s enough other games to play.
I’ve not played between the end of Pandaria until BfA launched.
You can easily survive without World of Warcraft.

Stagnant how?
It’s alive, it’s keeping Square-Enix alive, it’s getting expansions, updates, cross-overs, IRL Events and references everywhere?
