WoW - guild - still feel left out

was in a similar boat at the launch of shadowlands…

the guild i was in already had a set team and they were all closely connected for years…

i was a outsider and could not break into the circle… not for lack of trying…

they were just not interested in new people despite putting the advert out saying all welcomed

best thing i ever did was leave that guild.

if they do not make time for you… spend your time looking for somewhere else.

or something else better than wow in 2022…

you’ll be hard pressed to find a genuinely good group in wow these days in my personal opinion.

at least one which isnt going to bench you for months until you somehow gain their trust.

EDIT: you’ll hear “join a community” a lot

but the truth is communities should not have to exist if the game itself was designed better.

i have played since Vanilla,

heres some other things you could do that don’t require a skill

  • pet battles
  • pet collection
  • random BGs
  • achievement hunting
  • LFR
  • HC dungeons
  • Twinking in the lvl 29 bracket ( can be done on free to play version with XP capped at 29)
  • World PvP
  • completionism
  • solo Que Arena

while i understand you feel left out with the content that requires metrics for high keys and raids, if you dont plan on putting in the required effort to enter those, theres no point you playing them as you wont be required to do that level of content for your playstyle

the alternative i would suggest is playing classic version of WoW or finding a leveling guild/ casual guild
