you can multibox multiple accounts in the same guild and run a private neighbourhood
its just an expensive way to play solo
but no different to people that do it for RAF rewards
Think about it.

Will there be HoA?
I would be fully supportive of players asking for neighbourhoods to be added if Blizzard were going with Solo plots as housing. Choice is always nice.
Not everything has to turn into ‘OMG You’re wrong’ scenario.

Indeed.
These options do not need to be mutually exclusive at all.
Will there be HoA?
In public neighbourhoods: No.
In guild or charter neighbourhoods: Depends on the people in charge. So… Maybe.

It’s insulting to expect to do that in order to play housing in a way which realistically should be supported alongside their ‘social vision’ in the first place.
Shall we start charging players extra fees if they want to raid or PvP or any number of other activities?
I hope they listen to good and honest views like how you have been and not a very few vocal RP players who seem to think they speak for the majority.
I’m a role player and I would still prefer my own small apartment in Stormwind. Not all role players want to live in a village. I can and I will live with it, but as Puny has put it: it is always nice to have options.
I didnt mean you just one very vocal one who has been very rude to Puny and a few others and demeaning and belittling there views.

Each community has their black sheeps, don’t they
Ah, our beloved elitist “role players”

Oy there, matey! That was my idea, I promoted this to Puny first
Also, I said it merely as a joke to lift the mood a bit, seriously promoting that to a system in this extent is a bit insensitive, don’t ya think?
On top of that: For RAF you need ONE extra acocunt, for neighbourhoods MULTIPLE, what kind of comparisson is that, please?
I am not prepared to then then listen about how the feature was supposed to be midnight trilogy only, or it failed because it was too ahead of its time and players were unprepared, or the ui was too complicated, or because it isolated players in their houses etc.
Well, there you go.
Allegedly endeavor system is a farm for furniture via leaving you house and doing group activities in neighborhood, or going to capital hub to do crafting table , or doing dungeon and raids, so it is the complete opposite of being in the house,
and already Bellular is calling it " Player Housing Has WAY More Gameplay Than We Expected "
Next spin of this rhetoric is going to be
'What do you mean there was no housing update this expansion? Did not Blizzard add a dungeon and an endeavor, that requires you to farm this new dungeon? Running dungeons IS housing gameplay. Quit whining "
just you wait
Just going to put this out there… we should be able to break into our neighbours homes and steal their stuff and then move to another location before the Gnome Police arrive!
Hands up! It’s the lemon police
I’m not going to run group content or PvP, not even for furniture. The Endeavours bar can get stuck at 1 for all I care. With any luck, I will join a diverse neighbourhood where people do all kinds of stuff and fill the bar through their natural gameplay. If not, then I will just go shopping to another neighbourhood. I can already see people monetizing it: “Pay X amount of gold and we allow you to enter to buy Y.”
Yeah I’m hoping the same. I do a heck of a lot of content, but I really hope it doesn’t have forced grouping. So if doing activities x y and z it just counts towards the requirements.
I imagine we’ll find out more in time.
What I imagine we’ll find out is blizzard ignoring all this, until a couple months after the feature releases and it doesn’t have the the engagement they expected. Seriously every time there’s big feedback threads like this one, they mostly just ignore it. And only there’s backlash after said feature releases, do they do something about it. I don’t understand how they saw housing and ended up on forced group content, about a feature that’s solo content on every other MMO. It’s almost like a game being an MMO doesn’t mean that everything has to be group content. Sometimes you just need a break from people being… people.
Not sure how I feel about this. I would prefer having my own house and that’s it. Sure, give an option to live in a whole village etc, but don’t force it on everyone.
I will wait for more info though, hoping they change their mind in the meantime.
I imagine the current iteration of housing is how we’ll get it. I would love to be wrong but they are tone deaf on solo housing.

As far as I’ve understood it, it’s very much like the Trading Post.
You can basically do any regular content to help fill the endeavour bar. No need to go do specific content you’d normally not do - unless you want to.
I hope that it will be like the Trading Post and not like the Anniversary Event at the beginning. When I looked at the Anniversary Event when it was launched, I saw that to me it would have been a massive chore of tasks I would not enjoy, so I noped out of it.
I suppose, it reflected on the engagement metrics that others felt the same, so Blizzard made it player friendly. After that, it was a lot of fun, I got everything I wanted and I enjoyed the journey as well. I hope that Blizzard learned that lesson.
Hopefully they can tweak it if it’s too demanding and it also needs to work for small and large neighbourhoods

It should. From the article:
The number of tasks required scales with Neighborhood size, so a 50-player Neighborhood will have to complete more tasks than a 10-player Neighborhood. Similarly, if a Neighborhood is less active, future Endeavors for that Neighborhood will also scale their requirements down to accommodate.
Undoubtedly the requirement specs will be tweaked after release when they see ‘actual numbers’.
