You know when you are alt tab’d while in queue or something in wow and then the icon for wow at the bottom of the windows screen flashes on and off yellow to alert you queue has popped or someone has whispered you. Well I’ve just gotten Windows 11 and it doesn’t do that anymore.
There is just a tiny black line on the icon under the WoW symbol and when queue pops or an alert happens the tiny black line turns red but you can hardly see the change at all.
Is there a way to make the whole icon flash yellow again? Is it an issue I can fix in the WoW interface or is it a windows 11 settings issue? I don’t know how to find this out on google or even how to word it to find the solution.
I never heard of that addon, but I just downloaded it now and tried it, in the pictures it shows the icon flashes yellow, but when queue popped and I was out of game the icon flashed from pale white to bright white around the wow symbol (could be to do with windows 11). Again I could hardly notice the colour change each flash lol. I can’t find anything in the interface addons FlashTaskBar section to change the colour or increase it. And judging from the other persons comment it seems windows 10 by default had the flashing yellow icon before they got rid of it in windows 11.
Their logic as to why they did it -_- “We have updated this design so that it still grabs your attention but with a calming treatment that minimizes the impact of unwarranted distractions,” I can hardly see the difference, I’ve missed so many queues because of this feature lol.
Okay i think I’ve found a solution, had to install the FlashTaskBar addon, but since it’s too pale of a flash I’ve just changed the settings of my task bar to be a dark colour so I can see the flash now.
