WoW is a fun game and it's not

yeah but in a fight manner, like win castle siege or boss fight

wow open world would be so much more alive if you would actually need to fight for open world boss, it is a dps sponge

this is what killed new world.
there is world, its new
but nothing interesting to do in it xD

i agree, wow is a war based game after all so it should have those elements to it.

everquest2 had this kind of thing in dungeons…

where multiple groups ran the same dungeons at the same time and had to fight over boss kills.

you know, let them keep horde and alliance for RP and lore purpose sure

but the real one who should fight in azeroth are clans or guilds that could make the alliances together

this would be more interesting than this ā€œfor the hordeā€ garbo xD
where is your horde now ? lol u doing quest for fairy dragons

look TBC, most zones could be conquested they should expand on
clan importance

clan in wow (if u not raid ofc) is just a passive to get instant email and heartstone cooldown.

I’m burnt out by the vault and the affixes and pretty much everything that surrounds m+ dungeons that isn’t just the dungeon part so even m+ is no longer fun to me in an ideal setting

RP is the only fun thing about this game now.

I would also argue that they’re not doing enough to keep the older playerbase there
the economy is in shambles because blizzard with their numbers of personel (not a small player even after the layoffs of 800 people) can’t seem to organize pushing out a ban wave more then once every full moon, bots dominate all materials and unless you’re going to bot too, there’s hardly any viable way to earn gold anymore other then buying a token.

PVP rating has completely deflated and the majority of people who were easily getting to conquest pvp gear now can’t get enough rating to hit elite markers because there’s just not enough players to allow a long enough ladder, most of those spots are dominated by pvpers with like 3-4 alts (who in my opinion have every right to play those alts). Considering this is beyond just getting better I imagine most of those players just shrug and quit the game.

PvE has been micromanaged into oblivion, trinkets are boring and uninspired unless they’re raid trinkets, dungeon loot is pointless compared to the vault
the vault is still heavily RNG and is still a net loss from the vendors we used to have, just to extend our grind on a treadmill.

DF is a nice package, fun to fly around in and explore, zaralek was a bit of a letdown but I enjoyed 10.0 a lot, but the rot of a lot of these old issues are still in the foundation and this is not going to be solved by stacking shiny expansions in the hope of masking the issues enough that most people won’t feel them.

i feel like, wow is a cash cow now for blizzard, it is not the main focus anymore for the company, i would even say overwatch holds more merit to them than world of warcraft currently does.

i think this answers a lot of questions as to why the service is getting worse over time.

idk I feel like overwatch did well in sales but from my circles atleast I’m hearing a lot of people being jaded because the whole justification of overwatch 2 being its own title on blizzards side (story mode) was scrapped.

I still have some hope because I felt the passion to deliver a fun game with 10.0 and worry that the pile up of legacy issues have just gotten so big it feels like they have to tackle a mountain and are slowly working to do that (before df 10.0 it was very obvious for several expansions that the game was metrics driven while 10.0 felt like a step away from it) but realize there’s a good possability that your take of cash cow is true too
I hope not, but I gotta be real with what I see.

overwatch for sure got them some cash on steam, even with being worst negative game on platform xD

i have no hard feelings tbh

done with diablo 4 seson ? fine. seeya in winter.
no new content in WoW ? i pay only for 1 month, and return when is something new to do

you cant care too much about these companies, care about your fun in free time

i agree, blizzard is or rather wow is no longer a 24/7 game

it is a game to drop and come back to every so often.

maybe that is what they want? who knows.

maybe they want people to play overwatch when they got nothing to do in wow im sure many do that.

it would make sense.

i tried overwatch 2, even if im not FPS person
you feel soo exhausted after 2-3 matches lol
too many particles, flashy lights and action that is meaningless most of time cause its shielded/healed.

blizzard always have something to come up with lol
soon they will have classic hardcore, and so on

i used to play overwatch 1 heavily for about 6 months a few years ago, i enjoyed it.

i may get back into overwatch again at some point personally.

i just don’t have much time this month to play anything.

next month however everything calms down and i can game again even on workdays which will be nice.

That’s a contradiction in itself.

Why?
You can have fun in pvp, with the exception when you have someone in honor gear vs full conquest. If the one with conquest is not dump person the one with honor will less likely live. I guess this fair, but it’s a very ā€œI guess I die momentā€

Well, yeah. I’m wondering what WoW you played in the past that wasn’t.
Because WoW literally has always been oriented towards getting gear. It’s only been quite a recent shift where we’re seeing a substantial increase in cosmetic rewards.

Transmog is life. Transmog is love.

There very much is fixed progress in the game.
I’m curious what you’re referring to though.

I tried plenty of times. I can’t.

Ye, so first I just noted that yes, the game is very gear oriented, it could get some account wide side progressions, for fun minigame like stuff. Or reward like account-bound comsubles, like teleport this part of the map, or you get 20% more rep when you activate this, or the next boss kill grants you high chance to get mount etc. They sound like cheating, but are they? Make then somewhat rare, but still collectable.

Secondly, cosmetics only won’t save the game, tho who would be against it.

I advice for a game mode that is more chill, but still hard as mythic +, maybe even that without timer, you can pick n choose your poison, but the gear you get from it will not be usable in mythic +, and should only be on par with lfr ilvl (somewhat) in raids. This would make players feel less toxic toward other people, as time means less, yet you can play.

As for raids there is very little you can do about it, I don’t know, might aswell join a guild for that.

As for pvp can be fun, and arena is different beast, very much depends on a players gameplay, spec balancing and teammates.

There’s always LFR.

I don’t agree. But each to their own.

Doesn’t interest me personally. I’m not someone who enjoys challenging content.
I like playing game to relax and such.

True, but if you want more, you need more people.

Sure thing, I just wanted to tell the meh part of pvp.

I just suggested a relaxed, but even if mildly challenging dungeon, where the tank cannot solo the whole content without dps or maybe a healer, but not feel rushed for doing it, as mythic + can feel refreshing when you do it with friends and maybe time it, but in the other hand can feel very toxic without them.

That’s correct.

But that sounds like a heroic or mythic0 dungeon, honestly.
I guess I’m not completely understanding your suggestion.

Sure, yeah. That’s one of the reasons I don’t do them.

You understood it perfectly, I suggest an alternate dungeon dwelling, with gear not benefiting raid content or original mythic +, for people who just don’t want the rush or toxicity, but still try out the challenge (not the timer).

Or a harder version of heroic, as it is now, even mythic 0 can be easy, and ā€œ+ā€ can be hard to join or make in the challenge you want to experience it. I mean why do we have to race for content we want to play?

Now, this is just a suggestion, I would be ok with anything else if it meant something similar to what I said.

Anyway, we’ll see what will the game introduce, as it stands now, only the pursuers will play and they will only play once a week until key depletion. Those who cannot find the fun component will just play something else. Cheers!

Ps. I don’t want anything bad or rant about anything, just wait for something else. I will come by and have some fun with anything that can be enjoyed (as you said it is a personal thing), but what I said there is some truth to them.

?? how will it kill? it gives casuals…(majority of wow) some contenta nad gearing options…for the whole expansion…??
