Having a similar issue but mine’s an error code. Have run the repair tool and still can’t get it to update! Any idea what’s going on?
Hi there BĂŁnshe,
Sounds like the needed repairs aren’t being applied correctly. For more info and steps to try, check out the article over here: Troubleshooting Installation and Patching.
If none of the steps there sort it out, a fresh re-install should take care of it!
I’m getting this error: BLZBNTAGT00000BB8
Was stuck in the repair mode where it just kept restarting… then i uninstalled both the game and battle.net app, rebooted and installed it again.
All other games (overwatch, heartstone, Starcraft) are being updated proberly, but i still get the same error on WOW.
Hey Bjobjbo,
There is a specific article for this error over here: BLZBNTAGT00000BB8, although the steps to resolve it are largely the same as the link posted above.
If you’re still having issues after working through the steps there, please record some diagnostics are per this article: Obtaining System Files, and host them on https://pastebin.com/ or similar and include a link in your reply.
Alternatively if you have trouble with any specific troubleshooting step, just let us know. Thanks!
been through all the steeps before i started “complaining”
as of right now the game is trying to do a scan/repair and has restarted twice in the last 20 minutes, even though there is no game installed at all. Other blizzard games have updated proberly

Think i fixed it now…
after uninstalling the game, i deleted the left over files in the folder before i started reinstalling the game again, and now it has atleast started downloading the game.
Hey Shinkys,
Having a look at your System Files I’m afraid your machine doesn’t meet the minimum requirements to run WoW (specifically the AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series you’ve got, where 7850 or above would be the minimum).
While it’s unlikely to be the cause of your current issues, it is something to keep in mind going forward.
I did notice you have the Blizzard app installed on your D drive, while your Windows is running on the C drive, which has caused problems in some cases in the past.
For now I’d recommend you fully uninstall the app and do a fresh re-install to your C drive only (as that’s where you have Windows installed as well). You can still keep the actual games installed on other drives and use the locate option in the launcher to find them.
I also noticed a few pieces of software running in the background that could potentially be causing issues and you’ll want to follow the steps here to eliminate possible conflicts: Closing Background Applications.
Edit: Just saw your second post, glad to hear it seems to be working again! Fingers crossed! (also clarified my point about your Blizzard app install)
Yeah I had this. It’s not your PC, something went wrong at their end. Try restarting your PC to ensure battle.net isn’t running in the background after the crash. It should be fine.
