Wow is dying for sure now :<

I literally quoted from the report

So you then:

“Omg, I can’t wait for WoW to die! It’s gonna be great!! Come on WoW…DIE!!!”

What a sad mentality to have.

Yes they did.

Subscribers in World of Warcraft® increased since mid-May, following the release date announcement and beta for World of Warcraft Classic and the Rise of Azshara™ content update.

Do a check yourself before calling other people idiots.

I came for Classic. Not for bfa. Of course a few came back for bfa, but knowing how horrible this xpac is, it can’t possibly be more than 5.

And alot of people I know only tried out 8.2 in the mean time (to prepare alts for new expac even) but they came for classic beta and classic release mainly. If this and the way lower activity in the 8.2 zones and LFG is anything to go by classic will explode.

Fanboys on these forums make no sense. They actually think people give a scrap about retail lmao.

All the people who are playing retail probably care about it, otherwise they wouldn’t be playing.

It’s a bit weird to say that all the people who play WoW don’t care about WoW.
I mean…what?! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

They care about wow, as do I. but BFA nah a very VERY small minority actually cares about this xpac. The rest of us are waiting for 9.0

Seems like some very loose and arbitrary measurements you’re throwing out there to try and salvage an absurd statement. Just sayin’ it.

Again, the people who are playing the game right now surely care about it, because of the fact that they are playing it!

If people didn’t care, then they wouldn’t log in to play. The people who do log in to play, they obviously care.

I don’t care about Fortnite, do you know why? Because I don’t play it! So I don’t care.

Proof please of your “Very Small Minority” statement.

If you have no proof, then it’s your opinion, or the opinion of those that you base yours on.

Proof that everybody loves 8.2. I so far heard very few people actually go: “BEST PATCH EVER!”. I actually notice the world is very empty compared to opening week of 8.2 already. So shot it back at you.

The sub numbers increased

And for what? Anathor one, that what’s is annoying with pro-Blizzard side. They don’t question anything. When alot resubbed for classic you just claim it’s for 8.2 and CoS and it’s the truth but when people question how many resubbed and for wwhat reason they are set as haters.

The world is way more empty and LFG for Alliance has decreased to like 1 or 2 groups for Mechagon. People are already playing way less, this is the content we need to for 5 more months.

Most in one of the guidls resubbed in June just for classic beta, yes theu tried out 8.2 and decided they are jumping to classic. But here you are “the subs increased so 8.2 is ahuge succes”. I don’t call it a failure either but to call it a huge success? No far from it.

The wow sub number increase is not directly tied to BFA but also the wow classic beta that many tried to get into (sub req).

I assume the sub turning point started at mid may (else they would’ve mentioned an earlier date) which implies the game was at a decline prior.

So basically, the data is somewhat decieving as it no longer covers one product but two.

The moment they will allow cross factions is the moment when WoW will have a spike in subscriptions. And if the forecast is true it might be soon.
Between a one off faction change and 3 monthly subscribers more well I think Blizzard needs to think about the money those would bring in a long term.
Besides they can still charge faction transfer but you might keep your appearance which is awesome.

I think the costs for game services like realm transfer are a measure to control how many people use the service rather than a money grab. The less it costs, the more people use it, the more movement in realm population.

Anyway, how do you think subscriptions will increase with the implementation of cross faction? I would think a lot of people will hate it, because of the loss of faction identity. Like, what will happen to the “FOR THE HORDE” battle roars?

I’m not aware of any plans for cross faction so I assume it’s some sort of merge of Horde and Alliance as one new faction.

Well, my profile contradicts your statement. I really love this game, that’s why i am so angry. And i think i put enough effort and gaved the game enough chances (from 8.1 to the next chance 8.1.5 then to the next chance 8.2) …and nothing improoved. Even more, it became more worse than before with each patch.
I am not a grumpy person. I see good in everything…except WoW. Even in cats i see good. So that says something.

You try to be a philosopher? Really? You wan’t to debate with me if you are idiot or not? Mate, you are. If you think that the current state of the game is good, then you are. And proofs are enough: loss of subs, 90% of forum posts are with complains, all youtubers give only negative feedback (even Asmongold, the guy who’s only purpose in life is WoW)…so what you want more?

Then give us the link with the report. Because on the report i saw, i saw something totally different.

Yes…after i invested 3k euro invested in WoW, that’s my wish. Are you serious? Or retard?
We want change. How you obtain change? By not complying. That means by not playing the game until they change it.
Its the same like in real life: you don’t like your president of your country? Next time you don’t vote him. Same rules applies in our case.

Obviously they said that the number increased, to satisfy their investors and “chill” players who think that WoW has a population decline. One thing is a statement like the one you gaved above: " our subs increased…bla bla…" and another thing is when they give exact numbers, as they did before WoD.
If they have a subs increase and want to brag with it, why didn’t they put numbers? They put numbers on everything else, except subs number. Doesn’t look odd to you?
Ohh come on mate…how can you belive a crap like that? I have a feeling you are a Trump fan. Only those fans can’t make difference between lies and manipulations. So Trump, before El Paso incident, was atacking all day the foreigners and migrants. Now, he started to pitty them.
And no, i don’t need to do a check. I already did. So the conclusion is that you are still a idiot if you belive Blizz lies.

It’s a federal crime to provide misleading information to investors. The financial reports that Activision Blizzard provides have to be truthful. They can be as vague as they want to be, but it’s against the law to provide misleading information. It’s called securities fraud. If they did it, they’d go to jail. So obviously when they say they’ve gained WoW subscribers, then they have. Why don’t they publish the exact numbers? Maybe because they only gained 3 subscribers, so they prefer being vague?

Your posts have a condescending tone and are full of hostility. People like this are called “passionate fans”. Funny…

There are way to many people who think they need to be loud and hostile to be heard. And the funny thing is, they are probably right. A negative encounter can be easier to remember than a positive one. Keyword negativity bias https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negativity_bias#Attention

But calling people names because they differ in opinion or in what they enjoy is in no way helping. It’s no wonder if you see only negative posts on the forums, because people who think differently are going to be belittled.
