I am sure I have read this on a loading screen as well.
The game guided us with quests through the legendary system, it was part of the storyline. We were sent to the runecarver and he gave us a quest detailing what mats to come back with.
Over time these questlines are simplified allowing skips.
A lot of things are explained via the game itself expecially while it is current. The vendors for example are announced in patch notes, hotfix notices, blue posts essentially either via forum posts or news blogs.
I think itâs amazing that sites like wowhead are such a great resource for players, it collates all this information and makes it easier to find long after things are no longer current and people have forgotten or simply werenât playing when it was current.
i remember back in TBC using thottbot cuz i wasnt unable to find maaaaaaaaaany things. so i guess the game isnt changed too much.
Thanks Chronormi. but now i have a problem with the big lava river in the middle of the barrens. i cant see it in your map.
Skyrim complex? Good thing you didnât play Morrowind then
I mean, even quest descriptions would even point you in the direction you need to go.
âMantriks wife can be found on the road to the south, just north of Camp Taurajoâ is what a quest description would say in the case of your wife.
I had to use a note pad first time I played MorrowindâŚ
âThe thieves guild needs you to steal a key from Oras Antilionas somewhere in or around Vivec âŚNo weâre not gonna tell you where abouts he is or where he keeps the key, good luckâ
I know people who used to sit with a note pad and calculator when playing WoW.
Thereâs nothing wrong with it. Makes the game much more indulging if you have to work things out for yourself.
OMG, I just realised I sound like my parents when I used to use a calculator as a kid
I loved that so much! I had this giant map
I had a pirated copy on the original Xbox⌠No map for me!
I tried playing it a few weeks ago but the graphics are such a turn off⌠I hope they reboot it at some point but besides graphics and combat animations donât change anything!
i still have the book describing azeroth pre cataclysm. a jewel.
I have that too somewhere in my nerd boxes in the atticâŚdidnât have time to make myself a nerd display case yet!
I remember a friend of mine had one of those Guide Books, which showed you all you needed to know for every quest in the Original version of Vanilla. It was amazing, but even my friend encouraged us to work things out for ourselves.
I tell you what, that book must be worth a fair bit if in mint condition. nowadays.
I did indeed that was also complex, however that had various online sources which helped considerably, especially if you wanted to create your own content, like I did.
If I had to be honest I preferred Morrowind to Skyrim, as it was a much looser sandbox, some rigidity had crept in by Skyrim. However I do appreciate a game that is multi-faceted and generates beautiful, full bodied guides.
in fact is perfect. i would check on ebay
ÂŁ4.70 pre-owned.
in 200 years will be regarded as pristine and will be in a museum!
