For some reason the game is loading every single addon I have on loggin, even the ones which are 100% disabled.
I’ve got no idea what’s going on and nothing can turn them off. I’ve even tried deleting some from my WTF folder but they’re still there.
Anyone know how to fix this?
Just logged in after 2 years away from the game, disabled all addons and ALL addons are active…
I noticed the same behaviour with newly created characters after the patch.
Two workarounds I found:
a) Re-check and uncheck incorrectly loaded addons in the character list’s addon list.
b) Uncheck the incorrectly loaded addons in the addons list while logged in to the newly created character.
c) After you have done one of them above least for one addon you can also overwrite the saved settings by by copying the settings from old character. The settings file is located in WTF\Account\AccountNameID\RealmName\CharacterName
After either of these workarounds the settings stay saved least for me.
Disabling addons does not stop them being loaded, that is why support always asks you to UNINSTALL them for diagnostic purposes.

I thought I’m going crazy, but seems not.
I’m not alone then. Addons clearly disabled… game loads and it still loading in.
I’ve already tried deleting addon.txt, resetting all addons on my toons.
They load when they feel like it, not all, but sometimes randomly they just enable themselves.
Yes Blizzard have said, if an addon exists in the appropriate folders, it will get loaded.
Disabling them does not unload them, or stop them from being loaded. Only removing (uninstalling) them will.

There is a list called addons that can be reached and customized in the login screen at every character.
We can choose PER CHARACTER what addon should be loaded in and disabled.
THIS DOESNT WORK!
Currently turned off again all addons, choose SOME of them from the list to load for one of my toon and not just that unselected loaded but some that were selected didn’t load.
This is clearly a technical issue.
And this completely hinders me to play the game properly, daily at least an hour I have to fiddle while the game finaly accepts my choices and only loads the selected addons.
THIS NEEDS A FIX ASAP!
