I wonder if there’s a Chinese Slapface, making insightful forum threads.
It looks like a generic asian MMO
To be honest it is more Aion than WoW
Lmao, so much artwork stolen from Ardenweald.
Ngl , It feels like a cheap Copy of wow and It dosen’t make me exited or curious about this “WoW 2”.
Watched untill 1:05 and by the gods, its terrible
Your joking right?
Agreed…
Here’s a surprise for you: WoW didnt ‘invent’ dragonriding and wow didnt invent a deathwing either.
Never understand why people have to make these topics?
Ever heard of Fatalis from Monster Hunter? Came long before Deathwing.
To me looks more like LoL than wow.
graphic looks good tbf
Yes. That’s the only thing I envy. Really hope 11.0 brings a whole world rework alongside with item model reworks.
Get rid of the pixel history of Retail. We have Classic WoW for those looks!
I doubt considering the game engine.
Some of us that live in poorer places of the world cannot afford the technology it takes to run that super unreal engine graphics I’m sticking with pixel.
You got to consider other places of the world.
Then offer a lower, graphics version in the settings for the people that are poor and let the rich people be able to use their hardware to the fullest extend.
Edit: Also, I am poor myself and I still can afford hardware to run more graphical complex games than WoW.
Thats not how it works with game engines if they release a new engine anymore.
At least, you aint gonna expect Unreal 5 engine games to run on I7 4xxx + gtx 1060
it doesnt look like wow at all and its definitely not something that can stand up to wow, even with todays flaws
No one of us said “use a new engine”.
So… now we have an answer to why NetEase were so impossible to work with. We probably also have an answer to why WoW was so neglected and broken in China. Basically, NetEase was probably collaborating with TenCent to make WoW look bad so that TenCent’s knock-off would look good over there and could be seen as a savior.
To see just how bad it is, take a look at this Reddit post from 3 years ago:
From what I’ve heard it didn’t get better at all - and no wonder when they only have 100 staff to support all of Blizzard’s games in China, I mean really? Is that a joke?
I think Blizzard was extremely displeased with how WoW was being managed for a long time, but they probably also figured that switching providers meant getting WoW banned in China.
And when they got wind of this game… yeah, I think that’s what did it. I saw Chris Metzen on Twitter and he just said “Oh wow” basically, but I honestly think he’s actually enraged, and he has every right to be.
NetEase are scumbags, and so are TenCent. We always knew this. They’ve shown it time and time again in other products. Blizzard should have left that relationship and long, long time ago.
I think it’s really sad that the Chinese can’t recover their characters. More than likely they’ll be able to find a way to play on the TW servers - and hopefully WoW will be back in China, and this time under a company that actually cares and has the resources to make WoW fit China instead of asking for the game to be corroded in the rest of the world on their behalf.
As for that game? Cheap knock-off. Looks like garbage. The fact that they’re releasing a trailer for the English market without providing a translation is downright pathetic as well. They don’t care about you as an English-speaking player - heck they barely even care about Chinese speaking players. Don’t give them a moment’s attention.
No, but I said that it prolly wont be possible with current game engine
