WoW made in China?

‘Copyright infringement’ doesn’t translate well into chinese or mandarin.

No helping you

oh btw… Skyrim too. There’s actually quite a few games before deathwing even made his debut in the books

Payed blizzard whiteknight?

You gonna defend the dragonriding system too in this regard which is copied from an entire franchise too? :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s nothing wrong with implementing your own version of a system or two that has been very well received elsewhere. I’ll never understand why people cry about this.

These Chinese guys have copy and pasted almost everything directly into their own IP.

You implied it

Its hypocritically to QQ about this is my point.

DF copies so much from other games and wow didnt even originate a fire elemental dragon.

Even whole class concepts, they copied from other games.

Don’t play it then if it’s such a problem for you.

Pretty sure they did a decent job with Deathwing, actually.

Eh, wow doesn’t exactly have a monopoly on floating cities and giant trees.

But the timing of this trailer is too convenient compared to what just happened with Blizzard/NetEase.

will be intresting to see what classes if the game has good classes i might even play it

The puzzle does not begin to resemble an image until a significant amount of pieces are laid.

It’s one slightly copy after another - over and over and over again. As I watched it went from different to similar to clearly inspired by to shameless. Every second scene or more was easily identifiable as a moment in WoW.

It’s the same color palette, same theme, very similar contours, etc. The Chinese only copy stuff and don’t come up with anything genuinely new.

Sure, Blizz also got inspired by art from Games Workshop’s Warhammer franchise, but Blizz improves and adds a unique flavor to what they do. Chinese products are just blatant copies that would be considered illegal under EU and US law.

The sad part is that they (seemingly) got the ‘city built on a tree’ right. F to Teldrassil. :sob:

Assuming it’s a clone, I wonder if that might give us any hints to Blizz’s plans with the Seed and whatnot, since the area looked vaguely similar to where the new tree supposedly might be.

And there’s not a THING Blizzard can do about it except seethe. Westerners got so used to thinking they run the world, they’re not going to be happy with the new multipolar world that’s coming.
