I can usually tell it happens because the game feels a bit “off” and by the fact the gpu clock goes lower then it should.
For my 3080 the base clock is 1785mhz so games that have maximum performance enabled it should not go lower then this.
I’d say 4/10 times the game launches into this state and its the only game that does it.I have also tried some of the latest drivers and no change.
the 3080 has a base clock of 1440 MHz and a boost clock of 1710 MHz. it will only boost when there is a graphically intesive scene.
You’re right but it doesn’t change the fact the game sometimes doesn’t respect the power profile in the nvidia settings.All my games have maximum performance set per game profile and the lowest they go is 1785mhz.All of them.Not one goes below 1785mhz when maximum performance is used but for some reason Wow ignores it occasionally.
