Hi, sometimes i have a lot of downtime at my work and i was wondering if i can play wow on my work laptop by installing wow on a external hhd. I cant install games directly on the laptop.

You can install it wherever you like, but keep in mind that the installer WILL use your C: drive to cache the installation files during installation. That seems to be hardwired.
Also not 100% sure on this, but I think that while the actual game can be installed on whatever drive you wish, the Battlenet application must be installed on the C: drive.
Finally running it off an external hdd will be significantly suboptimal due to the USB bottleneck.
Hmm then i suppose it wont work. I think the battle.net app will be blocked. To bad though. Thank you for your reply
